Developed countries (according to one of the many categories to define the progress of society) is based on education and their health system.
The health system in my country is very complex; on the one hand, our doctors are recognised worldwide (no exaggeration) for their advances and research work. For example, we even have a saintly doctor, because he knew how to combine knowledge with Christian values and his favours have crossed frontiers.
We also have Jacinto Convit for his eradication of leprosy. Imagine leprosy, a disease since Christian times, and thanks to the work and determination of a Venezuelan we were able to find the definitive cure for this plague.
Many countries have realised the value of Venezuelan doctors, and due to migration in recent years, the first to be accepted and called upon are our specialists because, I repeat, they have knowledge, preparation, professional ethics, and a constant desire to improve and learn, leaving our name very high up.
An example of this is that in countries such as Chile, Spain and even the United States itself, there are a significant number of specialists from our country practising and teaching medicine.
What is the downside?
Well, I think the biggest problem is cultural and conformism. Once many of our specialists have emigrated, those who remain do not have the necessary training to be able to meet the demands of our country and the few who are "old school" have also become accustomed to offering a low quality service, putting a patient's life at risk without, in many cases, having any consequences or reparations for it.

I will speak from personal experience
When I was looking for a cure for my eternal headaches and high blood pressure, among many conversations I was told: "Could it be a parasite? This was on my mind and trying to find a definitive cure, I started to look for a specialist.
It turns out that in my city there is a doctor "who is an eminence" in parasitic treatments to such an extent that all the references I heard about him, was that his examinations and studies were the best in the area and foreign states, and he was the doctor I needed without a doubt.
Here comes the irony of the case where a doctor of such quality and recognition attends in such precarious conditions; I will explain step by step:
First, his office is in a house, in a low-income neighbourhood. I'm sorry if it offends the social qualification, but I don't know if it is allowed to have a laboratory in a house, let alone in that area, does anyone from the Ministry of Health know that? And the worst thing is that we accept it and go looking for a solution no matter what it looks like.
I think that the issue of tax evasion, office rent, contracts and payments makes them take the decision to operate there.
Getting to the site is also a bit complicated although whoever you ask will give you the necessary directions. The sign "a pintura" (look at the evidence) tells you that you are entering the unknown dimension, "Save yourself! I fall into the same criticism: I understand that you do not want to pay tax, but this? It seems crazy to me.

The pavement invites us to put everything away, to pray that a thief or the police don't come and catch you because they suspect you are going to buy psychotropic substances or interrupt the life of a being; if you will excuse me, there is no reason for this kind of precarious conditions to be taken care of.

The place obviously couldn't be more precarious, but believe me, people come from all over the city and its surroundings, and the attention starts very early in the morning. I can only imagine that people get up early in the morning in this place because the need does not really know what status they have, nor are they aware of where they can find a cure, it is all about the need to heal themselves and their families.
The room is attended by a man who handles/transfers stool samples without a glove, mask or any safety equipment such as alcohol and that is so normal that people do not demand anything, they are just waiting for their tests to be delivered and that's it.
I couldn't photograph the doctor's title very well, but the black and white photo shows that he got it a long time ago.
The signs outside are really depressing, telling us that he is a renowned doctor, that he receives money, that he is a reference in his speciality.

Although I don't see anything positive in going to a place like this, I saw the needs of people of all ages looking for a solution; I saw the sign of charity when patients with no money arrived and they received the sign by doing charitable actions and helping these people, something that is not seen in other doctors who, if you don't have the money, don't attend to you. It is very difficult to give an opinion on the fees and ways of thinking of each specialist, because they don't eat charity.
In view of all this, I think that the doctor, whether he is paid a little or a lot, should be in a more central location, appropriate to the service he provides, and in this way he would maintain the quality of his service. I, in particular, would not go there again, unless it was urgent and my only option.
Therefore, for me, quality includes several aspects such as preparation, accompanied by a place that makes us feel safe and confident; I'm not talking about luxuries, but a more adequate place, what do you think?
By the way, I got some parasites which terrified me! but they are what we all normally get, I did my treatment (including the diet) and I think I was cured ha,ha,ha. Although that wasn't my pain problem, at least I "got a cleanse" 🤣.
