Reflection on my last two decades on earth. Weekend engagement #199

In the last twenty years (two decades ago), I have undergone several outstanding changes that have impacted my life in numerous ways.

Explain how you have changed in the last twenty years, how, why, and how that change has affected your life using examples. Remember to use your photos.

Between 2004- 2024, a lot of growth has happened or occurred in my life which made me reflect on my journey as a person to always give gratitude to God. In 2004, I was in my 100 level studying computer science after I had wanted to become a pharmacist, and the dream was aborted due to the death of my father. I immediately opted for another course which was computer science. In the last twenty years, I have become more self-conscious and confident of the things ahead of me. I knew I had to be independent in going through life experiences like traveling alone, recognizing my weaknesses, advancitowardrds my career, building meaningful relationships, and identifying my interests, passion, and strengths for my life to be fulfilled.

It was when I gained admission into the university that I was allowed to do things on my own. I have never travelled alone but I did that because no one could do it for me. I have encountered different personalities in my last twenty years. Upon graduation, I went to serve in another land aside from mine just to learn their cultures, traditions, and ways of living that were different from ours. I served in the northern part and I came from the southwestern part of Nigeria.

This journey helped me to broaden my experiences, face my challenges, and proffer solutions. I have become more appreciative of diversity, which has enriched my personal life and allowed me to form more meaningful connections with people from different spheres of life. I met with the Igbos, Hausas, Tivs, Effik, and many other tribes. I ate different delicacies from different tribes just to foster my experiences.

In the last twenty years, as a computer scientist, to move with the trend in the digital world of today, I needed to advance in my career. I took a bold stance on pursuing professional courses, attaining a notable career journey, and getting more certifications in my career. I attended a series of seminars, workshops, and trainings in my area of specialization as knowledge is power and we must keep improving to meet the demands of today's world technologically. I also learnt diverse skills like hair making, baking and confectioneries, bead making and so many more augmentent my income.

Due to the electronic age we are in today whereby everything is done electronically, different digital tools came into existence to play a substantial role in shaping my life over the past two decades. I have full access to information with the help of the internet and other ICT tools or gadgets at its peak. Learning how to use social media. It was through social media connections that I learnet about the Hive community.

Also, in the last twenty years, I got married to the best man of my life. We courted for 3years before we decided to walk through the altar.

Also, I started the journey of motherhood and gave birth to my tadorableles, my jewels of inestimable value.

In the last twenty years, I have grown from that little girl to a full beautiful woman. I have learnt from the unknown to the known, I learnt from my mistakes, advanced in my findings have experienced changes in all aspects that have significantly impacted my life in diverse ways.
