My favorite animated movie

Greetings to the whole community. Thank you very much in advance for this new initiative #cinetvcontest.

I am proud to say that i grew up with these animated movies, especially the ones that introduced us to the huge Disney universe. I think i watched most of them on cassette by VHS. We were lucky that the tape never got tangled inside the VCR jajaj i guess we had a good model.

I got to see snow white and the 7 dwarfs, the little mermaid, sleeping beauty, pocahontas, cinderella, the story of the cobbler and the goblins, the hunchback of Notre Dame, the lady and the tramp, the princess swan, Balto, the aristo cats, the lion king, the jungle book, beauty and the beast... and along with these i remember many versions of these same stories that Mickey Mouse, Mini, Donald and Tribilin or Goofy did.

I think the writers and cartoonists of the time were very concerned about doing something very well done, they knew that their product reached children and served to excite them and make them dream of a magical world full of possibilities. What stands out the most is that almost all these stories were centered on a princess, no matter where she came from, whether poor, slave or aboriginal Disney made us see them as princesses, so every girl and even adult could see herself as a princess in search of her prince charming who would rescue her or complement her in her reality with something that might be missing, such as love. I think that is one of the things that is most rescued from these movies and series.

Of these i mentioned i really liked Beauty and the Beast, to this day i think it is one of the best animated movies ever made. I was a child i loved how the inanimate came to life, a candlestick, a teapot, the silverware and that everything and everyone had a story and had a reason to be there. Even as an adult i still enjoy this movie, over the newer versions that have come out.

But, one character that was the first to come to my mind for this initiative was Fievel and his adventures in An American Tale and Fievel Goes West.

As a child he was my hero, he was small, thin and had an unconditional love for his family, i think these characteristics represented me back then and the fact of seeing all the adventures that this character undertook amazed me, because, although he was afraid he was very fearless and in his adventures he always had friends to rely on to overcome the adversities that came his way.

I think Fievel represented me, from the first movie i saw of him, especially when he lived with his family, they were a family of very humble little mice and the bread (the small crumbs with which they paid the father) they shared with pleasure, i think i felt their pain because the circumstances of life were not entirely fair to them and the height of these circumstances was when Fievel is lost in the ocean after a storm hit the ship that transported them to a new destination. The family is not the same without their young relative. Fievel is shipwrecked as far as New York and from there he goes to great lengths to get home and goes through countless adventures and makes good friends in the process.

Of course with Fievel it wasn't always joy, sometimes it bothered me because he made some decisions that could separate the group or put them in uncomfortable situations, but somehow the friendship prevailed and brought them back together, or they rescued Fievel or rescued a friend in trouble, in the end there was always a new lesson to learn.

In the end Fievel managed to return home and thinking about all his adventures and everything he overcame, anyone would think that he would change his home and even that all the poverty would be gone and they would be rich, however, what they were always looking for was that feeling they always knew which was to be family and united.

These films i think tried to portray what life was like as an (American) citizen at that time. Each character that appeared portrayed a type of citizen, the hustler, the rich guy who controlled everyone, the workers of all types some annoying in their day to day lives and others willing to keep giving no matter their shortcomings, but all with that common feeling that they were in the land of opportunity and wanted to keep fighting for that opportunity.

As i reminisced about little Fievel, i really wanted to find the movie and watch it with the family. If you haven't seen it i highly recommend it. I was surprised not to see a new movie with this character as the main character, if they were to bring it out i would definitely go see it in the theater.
