My dear Nena, she came into my life in one of the most difficult moments of my life, for at least 3 months I was plunged into a strong depression that even kept me sleepless for weeks, one of my friends who knew what I was going through called me one day at work and told me, Come out for a moment I have a surprise for you! It was her, so tiny that she barely fit in my hands, I immediately loved her, it was love at first sight, she was my companion in those long sleepless nights and the one who put up with my crying, that was 6 years ago this week, we have lived many things together, and now she puts up with my Mathias who loves her the same way I do.
For a while she was my dad's companion every time he went to the farm, even if it wasn't because we can't live without her at home, I think we would have left her living there, she is so happy in the countryside, she loves splashing in the river and running everywhere; that was a couple of years ago now, unfortunately, we haven't been able to take her again, but she will surely be back soon. I wanted to prepare some delicious cookies for her as she loves bread, but it is not something I like to give her much, I have been looking for cookies to give her, but unfortunately in my town, I have not found any, so I decided to prepare some for her and she has loved them, this recipe is also suitable for Sombra, my cat, so I think I have killed two birds with one stone!
Preparing these cookies is one of the easiest things there is and basically, you only need two ingredients, although I added an extra tuna flavored oil, the same one we take out of the tuna cans, and with that, we add something more attractive to them, although without this oil they still love them. Join me and I'll show you how I made these cookies for my pets.
To start with this preparation, we peel our carrots and take them to the fire in a pot with water, until they are soft. Once soft and still hot, we purée them and let them cool. Once cold, add the wheat flour and mix with a paddle as far as possible.
Before moving to a counter to finish kneading, it is time to add the oil if you want to add it. Then continue kneading until you get a smooth dough that does not stick to your fingers, and with the help of a rolling pin extend it until it is about 5 millimeters thick.
With the cutter of your choice, we form our cookies, and if you do not have cutters, you can simply cut squares with the help of a knife. We take to a preheated oven at 180 ° C for about 15 minutes if you cut them small, or 20 minutes the larger ones, it is not necessary to brown, let cool and pamper our furry friends.
I wanted to prepare two sizes as I know my cat is a slow eater and a large cookie would surely be taken away by Nena at the first slip up. Quise prepararle unas deliciosas galletas pues ella adora el pan, pero no es algo que me guste darle mucho, he estado buscando galletas para darle, pero lamentablemente en mi pueblo no he encontrado, así que decidí prepararle unas y las ha adorado, esta receta también es apta para Sombra, mi gata, así que creo que ¡He matado dos pájaros de un tiro!
Preparar estas galletas es de las cosas más sencillas que hay y básicamente necesitas solo dos ingredientes, aunque yo le agregue un extra de aceite con sabor a atún, el mismo que le quitamos a las latas de atún y con ello le agregamos algo más atractivo a las mismas, aunque sin este aceite igual les encantan. Acompáñame y te muestro como le hice estas galletitas a mis mascotas.
Para comenzar con esta preparación, pelamos nuestras zanahorias y las llevamos al fuego en una olla con agua, hasta que estén suaves. Una vez suaves y aun calientes las hacemos pure y dejamos enfriar. Una vez fría, agregamos la harina de trigo y mezclamos con paleta hasta donde nos sea posible.
Antes de pasar a una mesada para terminar de amasar, es el momento de agregar el aceite si deseas agregarlo. Luego continuamos amasando hasta obtener una masa suave que no se peque de los dedos, y con ayuda de un rodillo extendemos hasta que tenga unos 5 milímetros de espesor.
Con el cortante de tu gusto vamos formando nuestras galletas, y si no tienes cortantes, puedes simplemente cortar cuadrados con ayuda de un cuchillo. Llevamos a un horno pre calentado a 180 °C por unos 15 minutos si las cortas pequeñitas, o 20 minutos las más grandes, no es necesario que se doren, dejamos enfriar y a consentir a nuestros amiguitos peludos.
Quise preparar dos tamaños pues sé que mi gata es lenta para comer y una galleta grande seguramente se la quitara Nena en el primer descuido. Rinde un montón y es super fácil de preparar y lo mejor de todo es que les encantara a tus mascotas, de aquí en adelante estoy segura de que no comprare más galletas para mis niñas.
