Tiger Moth Caterpillar - Amazing Nature Contest [EN] // Oruga de Polilla Tigre [ES]
I haven't joined the challenge of my beloved @adaler and #AmazingNature for a long time, but I'm back and I hope I won't be absent again. Caterpillars are really fascinating, in principle because of what we know happens after they pass this stage, and that shows us how wonderful nature is a simple worm for many, but a symbol of beauty and change for others. This morning I realized that one of my ginger plants was almost in the ground and only a few leaves were left on it, when I approached it I found this not very nice friend.
After checking and checking to see if there were several caterpillars, we didn't find another one, so this one was the culprit of stripping the plant, literally just leaving the stem naked, after making ropes to get it out of there without touching it and obviously almost jumping, because this thing moves really fast, I tried to take some pictures of it, my mother almost 20 meters away was screaming at me to get it out of the house because she has a phobia of it hahaha.
Unlike the caterpillars of the monarch butterfly, which I always find in considerable groups in my plants, this one moves alone, thank God because if I am in a group I end up with the whole garden hahaha, if this little one being alone almost ends up with the ginger plant I do not want to imagine if it had arrived accompanied. It is amazing how fast these caterpillars move, anyone who says that a worm is slow has not seen this girl in action. Also known as woolly bears, these caterpillars do not represent any economic risk in plantations, nor is it considered a pest. With the help of a wooden stick, I take it and leave it in the weeds of the street, hoping that it will not return to my plants again.
The wonderful thing about caterpillars is that they surely give way to a butterfly, not before going through a couple more stages. From this little friend will surely emerge a beautiful tiger moth, which, unlike its caterpillar, has night habits, so it is very likely that I will not meet it. Tanto rato sin unirme al reto de mi querido @adaler y #AmazingNature, pero he regresado y espero no volver a ausentarme. Las orugas son realmente fascinantes, en principio por lo que sabemos que pasa luego de que pasan esta etapa, y que nos demuestra lo maravillosa de la naturaleza, un simple gusano para muchos, pero símbolo de belleza y cambio para otros. Esta mañana me di cuenta de que una de mis plantas de jengibre estaba casi en el suelo y apenas estaban quedándole unas pocas hojas a la misma, cuando me acerque a ella me encontré con este amigo nada agradable.
Luego de revisar y revisar para ver si habían varias orugas, no encontramos otra más, así que este era el culpable de desnudar la planta, literalmente solo dejo el tallo desnudo, luego de hacer maromas para sacarla de allí sin tocarla y obviamente casi que saltando, porque esta cosa se mueve realmente rápido, intente tomarle algunas fotografías, mi madre a casi 20 metros me pedía a gritos que lo sacara de la casa porque ella le tiene fobia jajaja.
A diferencia de las orugas de la mariposa monarca, que siempre las encuentro en grupos considerables en mis plantas, esta se mueve en solitario, gracias a Dios porque de estar en grupo me acaban con el jardín entero jajajaja, si esta pequeña estando sola casi acaba con la planta de jengibre no quiero imaginar si hubiese llegado acompañada. Es asombroso lo rápido que se mueven estas orugas, el que diga que un gusano es lento, no ha visto a esta chica en acción. También conocidas como osos lanudos, estas orugas no representan ningún riesgo económico en plantaciones, ni es considerada plaga. Con ayuda de una vara de madera la tome y deje en la maleza de la calle, esperando que no regrese de nuevo a mis plantas.
Lo maravilloso de las orugas es que dan paso seguramente a una mariposa, no sin antes pasar por un par de etapas más, de esta amiguita seguramente emergerá una hermosa polilla tigre, que, a diferencia de su oruga, tiene hábitos nocturnos, así que es muy probable que no me la encuentre. Estos apenas los he visto en casa, los que si me acabaron con todas las plantas de algodoncillo fueron las orugas de las monarca, tuve que recogerlas todas y echarlas en el campo y cortar todas las matitas para ver que salia de nuevo!

jajajaja me has hecho reir, aunque no he conseguido informacion sobre el tema, mi padre me dice que este tipo de orugas tienen toxinas en esos bellitos, y que por lo general tienden a quemar e incluso a producir fiebre. Los sistemas de defensa de los animales tienden a ser realmente sorprendentes.
Saludos y aunque no creo que gane, porque siempre hay unas fotografias muchisimo mas hermosas, pero sin duda me gustaria ganar!!
