$115M worth of $TON to be distributed in the Open League S1

Introduction

The Ton community is super excited and buzzing right now with the announcement of Open League Season 1. This project is designed by Toncoin, the first crypto mobile wallet hosted on the Telegram app. Open League Season 1 is a gamified web3 community project where everyone is invited to complete tasks and share in the grand prize of $115m ton.

The TON foundation announced this Open League Season 1 on X few days ago. It will kick off on 1st April 2024. The project is a massive opportunity to reward the TON community for everything they do. Project founders would compete in tasks based on the work they have done in the community. Users would also be rewarded for active engagement.

The league has been divided into 4 major categories, each focusing on some specific members of the TON community such as devs and users. You can take a look below at the categories:

• Major/Minor League: This category is mainly designed for project devs on the TON network. They will compete based on how the different projects they launched performed. For this category, the grand prize of $5 million Toncoin would be shared to two major projects each from the major league and minor League.

The performance of each project will determine where they would end up in the league. The leaderboard which contain points earned and position of each project would be used to rate the project performances. At the end of the season, 2 projects with peak performances would be moved from the minor league to major league. The last two projects at the bottom of the Major league would have to drop into the minor league. This would create a competitive environment across the two leagues for all projects participating.

• Mining: This category is for everyone on the TON platform. The projects would be expected to create token mining activities and invite their users to participate. The best performing projects under this category would be rewarded with some huge prize including sharing some funds generated from Telegram ads.

There are already some really successful mining projects on the TON platform like Notcoin. Projects that will participate in this mining activity are encouraged to creatively come up with mining strategies whose goal would be to reward members that participate. If the mining activity is fun and rewarding, more people would join it. This would be a great way for the project team to score high and share in the bounty for teams that participate in the mining contest.

• Airdrops: This is another huge aspect of the Open league. TON foundation would be organizing and giving out airdrops in form of TON to participants of the league.
