HSBI letters draw (digital)

Sometimes I start drawing on paper and feel that my ideas capture exactly what I want to express; however, while the art on paper conveys certain feelings, there’s always something very different to convey in these digital drawings.

HSBI

What might easily look like a drawing or image created with artificial intelligence is not, even though its background and base were taken from elsewhere and it isn’t a photo I took with my own cell phone. The rest—the editing, text, and drawing—was done entirely by tapping my cell phone screen, drawing on it, outlining the text, and avoiding excessive effects so as not to detract from the aesthetic I wanted to preserve, since my intention was not for this to look like ordinary graffiti.

  • Take a look to the steps;

Here’s the most important part: the background or base of our drawing is pretty straightforward. It’s easy to tell an illustrator to draw something on this wall, and the first thing that comes to mind is some graffiti letters.

  • And why no?

As you can easily see, I outlined these letters to give them a style that’s not quite lettering and not quite graffiti, but rather a texture and style distinct from the lettering typically used. However, I’m using an outline that can easily be applied using the spray technique to achieve a very smooth finish—and, above all, those fine, defined lines.

However, this entire process is done using an app on my Android phone called EPIK.

For now, this is one of the ways I can channel that energy and creativity into art and my desire to create something tangible, even though I haven’t had the chance to paint a mural on a wall—which is my passion and what I love most. It’s been quite a while since I did my last mural; it’s been a while since I’ve brought color and energy to a wall. In recent months, I’ve been doing graffiti—yes, of course I have; I love doing graffiti. I really enjoy it a lot. However, we know that there’s graffiti done with a lot of love, heart, and much more soul and spirit—the kind of graffiti that engages with the space and shares a little bit of us with people, a snippet of history, and above all, instills culture. I thank everyone who made it to the end of my post; you already know that the best way to support me is by leaving a comment or simply reblogging this post.
