When opportunity meets unpreparedness, regret is inevitable.

I moved to Lagos, Nigeria, from my home many years ago in search of a greener pasture; prior to this time, things were very tough, hence, the necessity of my relocation. I actually had an eye on Lagos among other states because it is a commercial city in Nigeria, christened "the land of boundless opportunity for job hunters".
Though Lagos is a place reputed for bountiful opportunities, luck was not on my side because I had stayed for over a year and I was not able to secure a good job except menial ones. And then one day, the opportunity came. The clergyman of the religious organization I used to worship with had found me worthy to be given a well-paid job, having noticed that I was a man of good conduct. "Brother Peter, there's a job vacancy at my place of work. I couldn't find anyone deserving of this opportunity but you. Ensure you bring your credentials tomorrow,I'll take you there so I can introduce you to some key persons in the company. The least acceptable degree for the vacancy is a BSC"; he'd said. My gladness was that the opportunity I had longed for had finally came, but I didn't have a BSC that was required. I was deeply sad and heartbroken because of that.
Why opportunities don't come is because you don't make room for them. So,why the procrastination? Get up, acquire that skill,go get that degree,it may seem as you are never gonna make use of it, but I can assure you,a day is coming when that which you consider irrelevant and valueless will be relevant and invaluable.

Have a lovely weekend, family.
