Double EXPLOSION Fallas Figure - Sorolla by Escif - Cremà Fallas 2023 - Falla Reina-Paz-San Vicente

We have been living in Valencia since 2008 and have had the opportunity to experience numerous Fallas celebrations over the years. Witnessing the burning of many figures, which turn to ashes, has become a familiar part of our Fallas experience. However, among all the memorable Cremàs, there is one that will forever be etched in our memories...

The Cremà of the Falla Reina-Paz-San Vicente at Plaza de la Reina featured a remarkable bust of the renowned Valencian painter Sorolla, designed by the talented Valencian Street Artist who also created the main Fallas Figure in 2020.

What made this particular Fallas Figure burning so unforgettable was the occurrence of two unexpected explosions. The first explosion happened right at the beginning of the Cremà, blowing up shoulders of Sorolla, followed by a second explosion later on. Not to mention the fireworks shooting out of its eyes as well!

The intensity and sheer craziness of the moment made it an experience we absolutely loved.
