Pure relaxation part 2... my training diary entry from October 25 2026

(I took this photo while we were sitting at the taverna for dinner on the second-to-last day of my vacation. Unfortunately, it’s not very sharp, but I think the villa perched at the very top, with the rising moon in the background, makes for a great shot.)

Hi Actifitters,

I remember a meme that features the following conversation:

A: Hi, what are you up to today?
B: Nothing!
A: But didn't you do that yesterday, too?
B: Yeah, that's true... I didn't finish.

That works out pretty perfectly for me too. I continued working on catching up on my backlog of YouTube videos from the comfort of my sofa and watched my favorite football club's match in the evening.

For the brief moment when it wasn’t raining, I managed to get in some of my required steps, but that was it as far as physical activity went.

Mission 80 (Day 119 = 88.1 kg / Goal = 80.0 kg / Initial weight = 90.0 kg / Total loss = 1.9 kg)

Unfortunately, today’s reading on the scale is 200 grams higher than what it showed yesterday. Then again, that’s hardly surprising, considering I spent almost the entire weekend on the sofa and didn’t count any calories. I’m really looking forward to being able to train again so I can burn off those extra calories.

Today is my first day back at work. Fortunately, I’m able to do it from home. Let’s see what has piled up during my two-week vacation.

Don't worry too much about a 200-gram increase in weight; weight can fluctuate slightly from day to day. The most important thing is to fully recover before resuming exercise.

Well, what can I say? Doing nothing can feel surprisingly time-consuming 😂 I wouldn't worry too much about that extra 200 grams. The fact that you're already thinking about getting back into your routine is probably more important. Weight can fluctuate from one day to the next, but... consistency tends to win (in the long run).

Haha! I love that meme! 😂

Sometimes doing nothing is exactly what we need, especially after a vacation. Don't worry too much about the small weight increase, mate. I'm sure you'll get back on track once you're feeling better and resume your training. Hope your first day back at work goes smoothly! And woohoo! Thank you so much for the HSBI share! What a nice surprise to start my week! Really appreciate it!

Catching up on videos from the sofa with a match in the evening sounds like the perfect way to wind down a vacation.

That blurry taverna photo with the villa on top and the moon rising behind it sounds like the kind of shot you keep even when it is not sharp, because the moment was right.
