No pain, no gain

Today it was the first day of planting in our brand new herb garden! The preparation of the field lasted for ever and at some point I honestly thought that we are not going to make it. But we did!

The hard part is behind and the fun part has just started. Although this part is hard too, planting is way more fulfilling than removing rocks and uprooting prickly and totally uncooperative bushes :)

My partner and I started with the marjoram plants since they were way too big for their tiny containers. Each tray contains more than 200 of them and as you can see they are turning wild! But they gave me a nice shooting opportunity.

Pictures are nice but let's get to work!

I was opening the holes and @traisto was planting. It turned out to be a little more time consuming than we expected, mainly because the plants had grown too much and they were tangled up with each other. The irrigation system had some problems too but we managed the day and hopefully tomorrow we'll do better.

I don't want to calculate how many days of work he have ahead based on today's performance because I'll get discouraged but that's how things are.

No pain, no gain :)

Yay! Planting is so wonderful. Getting your hands in the soil. The pictures are great too, especially those macros!
