Time flies

As very aptly noted by @simplymike at Hive Community Garden Journal Challenge, time flies and it is already one month since my last garden update. And although I didn't had the time to make a proper shooting with my DSLR, I think that a few pictures taken with my phone will give you an idea of how things are right now!

Cherry tomatoes are at their best time and I harvest a whole bunch of them every other day, while the tomatoes plants that I put into the ground last, are about to ripen any day now!

The eggplants are doing great too and so are the peppers!

The cucumbers are still producing but in a slower rate but I have planted a second (and a third) bunch, directly in the ground so that I'll keep harvesting till the end of the fall.

My melons are not the most good-looking but their taste is delicious!

Okras just don't stop. I am staring to getting tired harvesting 3 times per week. Our freezer is full of them!

The onions are ready. I have stopped watering them and stepped on them gently. I will leave them like that for a few days and then take them from the ground.

My only disappointment were the squash. It was the first time I planted a few and they were going pretty well but suddenly they died before they are ready for harvesting. At least there is one more alive so maybe I'll be lucky with that one :)

That's looking good, and making me hungry!

My cherry tomatoes did not turn out well this year. I think the issue was that I used a breed I haven't used before, and they have a nasty disposition. My lemon cucumbers, however, are going to turn out nice!

Loving the sunshine on the plants! It makes me feel a little warmer as I sit here in our winter chill.

I'm in no rush for summer. When it gets here I'll be wishing for winter! 😅 It's easier to put more clothes on and get warmer, but there's a point where you can't get any cooler. Spring and autumn are probably more preferable seasons here.

Those tomatoes look delicious....

I should really check whether it's still possible to get some more cucumbers going. My plants produced so many already - lol, we had to give away most of them because there were just too many to eat - but now they've kinda stopped. It's clear the plants gave all they had, and are exhausted now....

What kind of melons are those?

Yes that's what cucumbers do. That's why it is best to plant them in bunches, a few weeks apart.
The mellons are from a local variety but they turned out to be more rough on their exterior than they were supposed to be, maybe they needed more water :)
