It is almost two o'clock in the afternoon and Alexander is driving very relaxed while listening to music. Thinking about the tasks he still has to complete for the day's work, he is surprised to receive a phone call through the cellular system installed in the vehicle he is driving. His surprise is due to the fact that only two people have this exclusive and private number: his wife and his immediate supervisor at the company where he works.
— Hello? — he asks after pressing the button on the roof of the vehicle to accept the call.
— Hello? How are you Alexander, — and the surprise is even greater when he hears the voice of the company's division manager and boss of both his immediate supervisor and himself on the car's loudspeakers. — Please, can you tell me exactly where you are right now? — asked the person on the other end of the line. In addition to the surprise of the call and the person on the other end of the line, there is also a certain concern about the question.
After giving the requested details and briefly discussing matters concerning his activities over the past two hours, Alexander arrives at the facility where he was on his way to perform routine supervision of his staff. He performs the work that concerns him at the site, but still wonders what is going on. In the end, he immediately goes to the company's offices, following the instructions given by the division manager.
In all this time since receiving the unusual call, Alexander has not stopped worrying. With the confusion of the matter, he wonders what could be going on. His doubts are generated, at first, by the fact that it is only his fifth day on the job and his third driving the modern vehicle he has been assigned to perform his duties. Knowing beforehand about the high-performance standards that must be met in this company and the additional responsibility that comes with driving a vehicle that is monitored in real-time by a GPS system, he wonders if he might have committed an infraction without realizing it. He reviews his activities during the day and finds nothing out of the ordinary. There are many questions piling up in Alexander's head.
When he arrives at the company, he immediately goes to the division manager's office. His immediate supervisor who sees him enter looks at him, but only shrugs his shoulders in ignorance of what is going on while indicating that he is expected. As he walks to his manager's office, stress and worry build up in Alexander's system.
The manager greets him in high spirits, which, in a way, relaxes him a bit. After discussing the entire routine from the time he left for lunch until he received the call in the vehicle, the matter is somewhat elucidated when the manager hands him a sheet with a sketch and a route generated by the vehicle's GPS system.
— A woman phoned to report that a company vehicle traveling at high speed almost ran her over. According to GPS reports, the only vehicle that was in the area where the woman reported is the one you are driving, — the manager informs him. Quite surprised, Alexander reviews the route he took since he left the office for his lunch break. He drove to his son's school, picked him up, and drove home, where he made a brief stop for a hasty lunch. He then left his house for the office where he would be supervising, until he received the call that triggered all his concerns. Throughout this trip, he said that nothing abnormal happened related to the vehicle.
After analyzing all the information, which is attached to a phone call received in the vehicle, five minutes after leaving home, and which is only two minutes after receiving the call from the allegedly assaulted woman, a rather crazy conclusion is reached. This is an envious and resentful neighbor who cannot stand the fact that Alexander has gotten a good job. The vehicle he is driving has a sign on the back of the car inviting people to report any offense committed by the vehicle to the number indicated there.
It has been quite an interesting day for Alexander. After going through some very worrying moments of anticipation and stress caused by not knowing what was going on, the GPS technology has helped him to prove that he has not committed any infraction and to unveil a person with a bad attitude and very bad feelings.
In 2012, I had the experience that I am telling you about in this story. A neighbor that I never knew who she was, since they did not consider it prudent to reveal that information to me, caused me real moments of concern, in a job in which I had only been working for five days. Thanks to GPS technology, I was able to validate my actions and since then, I use that episode to show how this technology could be our ally in similar cases. In the same way, in case someone was not correct in their actions with the company's vehicles, the same technology would put them in evidence, as it could be demonstrated in several cases that, perhaps, I will tell you about in another opportunity.

Son casi las dos de la tarde y Alexander conduce muy relajado mientras escucha música Pensando en las tareas que aún le faltan para completar su jornada laboral del día, se sorprende al recibir una llamada telefónica a través del sistema celular instalado en el vehículo que conduce. Su sorpresa se debe a que, solo dos personas poseen este número exclusivo y privado: su esposa y su supervisor inmediato en la empresa donde labora.
— ¿Aló? — inquiere después de presionar el botón para aceptar la llamada, ubicado en el techo del vehículo
— ¿Aló? Como estas Alexander, — y la sorpresa se hace mayor, cuando escucha en los altavoces del automóvil, la voz del gerente de división de la empresa y jefe, tanto de su supervisor inmediato, como de él mismo. — Por favor, ¿Me puedes indicar en que lugar exactamente te encuentras en este momento? — le interroga la persona al otro lado de la línea. A la sorpresa de la llamada y del interlocutor, se le suma una cierta preocupación por la pregunta.
Después de dar los detalles que le solicitan y conversar brevemente sobre asuntos concernientes a sus actividades durante las últimas dos horas, Alexander llega a la dependencia donde se dirigía a realizar una supervisión de rutina del personal a su cargo. Realiza la labor que le concierne en el lugar, pero sin dejar de preguntarse que está sucediendo. Al finalizar, se dirige de inmediato a las oficinas de la empresa, siguiendo las instrucciones dadas por el gerente de división.
En todo este tiempo desde que recibió la inusual llamada, Alexander no ha dejado de preocuparse. Con la confusión del asunto, se pregunta que podría estar pasando. Sus dudas se generan, en principio, por el hecho de que es apenas su quinto día trabajo y tercero conduciendo el moderno vehículo que le han asignado para cumplir sus labores. Sabiendo de antemano sobre los altos estándares de desempeño que se deben cumplir en esta empresa y la responsabilidad adicional que conlleva conducir un vehículo que es monitoreado en tiempo real por un sistema de GPS, se pregunta si habrá cometido alguna infracción sin darse cuenta. Repasa sus actividades durante el día y no encuentra nada fuera de lo común. Son muchas las preguntas que se acumulan en la cabeza de Alexander.
Al llegar a la empresa, se dirige de inmediato a la oficina del gerente de división. Su supervisor inmediato que lo ve entrar, lo mira, pero solo encoge los hombros en señal de ignorar lo que está sucediendo, a la vez que le indica que lo esperan. Mientras camina a la oficina de su jefe, el estrés y la preocupación se acumulan en el organismo de Alexander.
El gerente lo recibe con muy buen ánimo, lo que, en cierto modo, lo relaja un poco. Después de conversar sobre toda la rutina cumplida, desde el momento en que salió a almorzar, hasta que recibió la llamada en el vehículo, el asunto se dilucida un poco cuando el gerente le extiende una hoja con un croquis y una ruta generada por el sistema GPS del vehículo.
— Una mujer llamo por teléfono, para denunciar que un vehículo de la empresa que se desplazaba a gran velocidad, casi la atropella. Según los reportes de los servicios de GPS, el único vehículo que se encontraba en la zona donde indica esta mujer, es el que tú conduces, — le informa el gerente. Bastante sorprendido, Alexander repasa la ruta que siguió desde que salió de la oficina para su hora del almuerzo. Condujo hasta la escuela de su hijo, lo recogió y siguió hasta su casa, donde hizo una parada breve para comer algo apresurado. Luego, salió de su casa con destino a la dependencia donde realizaría la supervisión, hasta que recibió la llamada que desencadeno toda su preocupación. En todo este trayecto, comenta que no ocurrió nada anormal relacionado con el vehículo.
Después de analizar toda la información, a la cual se le anexa una llamada telefónica recibida en el vehículo, cinco minutos después de salir de casa y la cual dista apenas dos minutos de recibirse la llamada de la mujer supuestamente agredida, se llega a una conclusión bastante disparatada. Se trata de una vecina envidiosa y resentida, que no soporta el hecho de que Alexander ha conseguido un buen empleo. El vehículo que conduce, tiene en la parte posterior, un letrero que invita a denunciar cualquier infracción cometida por el mismo, a través del número allí indicado.
Ha sido un día bastante interesante para Alexander. Después de pasar por algunos momentos de mucha preocupación y estrés anticipado, originado por el hecho de no saber que estaba sucediendo, la tecnología del GPS lo ha ayudado a demostrar que no ha cometido ninguna infracción y a develar a una persona con mala actitud y muy malos sentimientos.
En el año 2012, me toco vivir la experiencia que les narro en este relato. Una vecina que nunca supe quien fue, ya que no consideraron prudente revelarme esa información, me causo verdaderos momentos de preocupación, en un empleo en el que apenas tenía cinco días trabajando. Gracias a la tecnología GPS, pude validar mis acciones y desde entonces, uso ese episodio para mostrar como esta tecnología podría ser nuestra aliada en casos parecidos. De igual manera, en caso de que alguna persona no fuera correcta en su accionar con los vehículos de la empresa, la misma tecnología los colocaría en evidencia, como se pudo demostrar en varios casos que, quizás, les cuente en otra oportunidad

In fact, the story is 100% true and the narrative corresponds to the events that happened to me in real life. I even stopped adding more details so as not to make the entry longer, but as it is reported, that's how it happened. Perhaps the only thing that is not so real is what has to do with my name, I use Alexander for Alexis, which is my second name and by which most of my family and friends know me. Although sometimes some call me by that name even. But I can edit it too.
My entry is written in a sort of literary attempt, but it largely reflects the situation experienced during this event in my life. Kind regards.
Thank you for the explanation, @fragozar01. The thing that makes it confusing as a creative nonfiction piece is that you refer to yourself in "third person narrative." This means instead of saying what you experienced, you write about a man named Alexander as if he is someone other than yourself.
Here's an example. You start the story this way, by talking about yourself in third person:
But since you are telling your own story, you should write it in first person narrative:
Again, if you read the other creative nonfiction stories, you will see the difference. People refer to themselves as "I" when writing their own stories. We hope that is helpful!
Although I liked the approach I gave to the writing, writing in the third person, I will take your appreciation into account. I must confess that writing in the first person is not my strong side, but I accept the challenge.
In fact, I have visited a few of the posts at this prompt and I think my post would have turned out even better if I had followed this advice. I will keep it in mind for future calls. Grateful for the attention.

Mi amigo Alexis, esas vecinas mal intencionadas abundan por todas partes, a muchas personas les molesta el hecho de ver qué otras estás bien y que de algún modo están surgiendo, entonces en vez de ocupar su tiempo tratando de seguir buenos ejemplos y trabajar en su bienestar, lo que hacen es ocasionarle problemas a los demás, de eso tengo un libro jajajaja, que bueno que no se salió con la suya y la tecnología te salvó, un abrazo.

Many times, I wonder what people will gain from trying to cause a fellow human a problem. Imagine was the situation would have been without a GPS, there wouldn't have been anything to defend yourself against such lie.
I am glad there was a record and the GPS is indeed one of the best technology in the world.

@fragozar01 It is true that you have written a good story, but as @theinkwell said in his comment, only past events and memories can be written in this nonfictional prompt. La envidia mata más que el cancer dicen por acá. Uno de los peores sentimientos que hacen a las personas cometer actos horribles. Afortunadamente no fue más allá del susto y gracias al GPS pudiste respaldar tu versión.

I will never understand the mentality of people who allow their envy to drive them to such destructive behavior!!! I'm so glad that this was all discovered, but it really could have ruined a great job for you and your reputation! I wish she would learn a lesson! but people like this rarely do!
