Let the party begin! ¡Que comience la fiesta!.gif

One of the things we Venezuelans love the most is partying. We celebrate everything (or we used to celebrate everything): births, baptisms, graduations, birthdays, marriages, divorces, and all of the holidays and festivities out there (by the way, there are lots of them in Venezuela). Any time is a good time to get together with family and friends and enjoy good food, good music, dancing and fun. We enjoy it very much (as I guess it happens in most cultures). We love planning parties, and as we say in my country we love to "tirar la casa por la ventana" ( to throw the house out of the window), which means having an ostentatious celebration or making lots of expense for a celebration. We are just like that.

I'm not a big party planner, but I like doing it. That is, I enjoy helping to set up the decorations and prepare appetizers, drinks and food to offer guests. Also, if I can, I might be in charge of the music. In this partying spirit of mine, I volunteered to help an acquaintance shop for her young son's birthday party. She was going to buy decorations like tablecloths, garlands and even a piñata. The little boy is turning 4 years old, and his mom is planning to throw him a contractor-themed party. While my friend shopped, I took a look around this huge store we went to. We went to a store called R.S.V.P. It's a store that specializes in food and party supplies.

5 years this has been happening to me, it started here, around people that are still here. Homeland security has done nothing at all, they are not here to protect us. Dont we pay them to stop shit like this? The NSA, CIA, FBI, Police and our Government has done nothing. Just like they did with the Havana Syndrome, nothing. Patriot Act my ass. The American government is completely incompetent. The NSA should be taken over by the military and contained Immediately for investigation. I bet we can get to the sources of V2K and RNM then. https://peakd.com/gangstalking/@acousticpulses/electronic-terrorism-and-gaslighting--if-you-downvote-this-post-you-are-part-of-the-problem

Yes , it is a huge store and they really have everything. Products are a little pricey in my opinion, but they are very custom and occasion made, you know! Thanks for your visit.

You are so welcome @francisaponte25 😁 those kind of things are pricier as it is not something you can find in other stores. So they control the prices.
Have a great Saturday 👋🏻

Who doesn't love a good party, right?? I love that saying that they have in Venezuela!

we love to "tirar la casa por la ventana"

Isn't that what makes it half the fun? I love to plan parties and I have a large family with 9 siblings, so every time we show up for dinner, it is a party. :) All kidding aside, I think parties are fun and allow people to get together in a predestined arena of fun.

The store that you brought us to looks like a great place to get a few decorations. What did you end up buying? Or was this just a trip to see what they had? In my family, growing up anyway, we had a few decorations, and always some balloons, pinatas (because who doesn't love a pinata?), and lots of laughing. It makes me miss my family just thinking about it. I have parties, even now, but it is not the same as when I am surrounded by family. :) This was such a fun post! Thank you for taking the time to put one together! Sorry, I am running so late!

Thank you for being part of #MarketFriday! I am honored.

#MarketFriday began as a way to reach out across the globe and learn about different cultures through their markets, especially local markets and farmers' markets, and eventually branched out and evolved over time from straight shopping to a cultural affair as it highlights how we differ and then again, how much we are alike. We have become a melting pot of culture, but, it is still the Rituals, Festivals, food, architecture, and even your language/languages that separate us... Along with the fact that is these things are normal for us. There are unwritten rules that rule our social behaviors. I see this as allowing for increased tolerance between cultures and nations, and opportunities to come together on an even playing ground. A strong culture can be beneficial to a country as it promotes unity, especially during a crisis, peaceful debate, and open dialogue. I have learned so much about all of you and it has been an amazing experience. I can only hope that learning about each other can help us work together for a peaceful world.

Fridays are all about the #MarketFriday Challenge! Looking to take part in it? Here is how:

Hi @dswigle !

9 siblings, so every time we show up for dinner, it is a party. :

That's quite typical in my country with large families. In my family is like that.

I did not buy anything, but my friend got some tablecloth and decoration for the party.

Excellent. Sounds like a successful trip to the party store. I hope the party goes well and it is a lot of fun! :)

Some people think a big family is trouble and too many kids, but, honestly, I wouldn't want it any other way. There is always fun to be had and a friend to do it with.

Plus! There is all this excess of love just waiting for someone to take it.
