Bringing Nostalgia with Cadillacs & Dinosaurs.

I pity today's kids who'll play a lot of digital games BUT most of them won't know how fantastic it was to play Cadillacs and Dinosaurs with friends at an arcade cabinet. I just can't think of anyone of my age who didn't play this game as a kid at an arcade cabinet.

Such arcade cabinets were love at those times.

As a kid, I always thought that this game will take ages to be finished and I'll never be able to finish it because I'll need a lot of coins which will cost a lot of money. Ah those coin days, the arcade cabinets that we had around didn't need direct coin but I got the chance to play at a cabinet where I actually needed to buy coin in exchange of real money and I needed to put the coin inside the cabinet to get a life of the player.

All those time, I knew it needs a lot of time to complete the whole game but it took less than an hour for me to finish the whole game with 12 coins and it seems much easier at this age.

Cadillacs and Dinosaurs is a 1993's arcade game developed by Capcom. It's a side-scrolling beat 'em up game that was first released in Japan at 1993.

It's a 3 player based multiplayer game, means 3 players can play at a time so maybe with 3 gamepads, it can be played with 3 players in the computer as well. But I tried single player, although I tried with all the characters there.

I've completed the whole game recently and I streamed it live.

I tried to use less coins and I finished the game with 12 coins and in less than 60 seconds.
Now I'm about to talk about the game and the episodes.

There a lot to say about the insight of this game and I don't think I'll be able to do that in a single post so I might write another version of this post like a second part maybe.

This is the entry scene of the game where there is the game title at above and developers name below.
In the middle, we see this games tale is based upon the comic "Cadillacs & Dinosaurs". So now we know that there's a comic about this game as well (To be honest, I didn't about this before).

The game ran in my computer through a kind of emulator.
After inserting a coin, a virtual coin actually,

There came the option to choose players.
There are four characters: (From left to right at the screenshot) Jack Tenrec, Hannah Dundee, Mustapha Cairo and Mess O'Bradovich.

Mustapha Cairo is that character that we knew the most and we even knew this game as Mustapha.
I've selected Mustapha as my first choice this time.

It was Eastcoast at 2513, the age of dinosaurs.
The entry scene started with some flying dinosaurs or I don't know what are they called.

I'll be mention my character as me, okay?
There was the first boss saying they're tired with us interfering so his men will teach me a lesson. And the bossman left the place when six of his men was there to fight me.
But my character did a flying round kick and all of them was dead.

Then I moved forward and there were more peoples waiting for me and I bashed them up hardly.

After fighting some more peoples, I got a very big gun and after jumping through a window, there was a fat man landing from above and I was waiting for him to land with the gun. As soon as the fatman landed, I started shooting and along with him, another man died with me shooting them.

Then as I moved forward, there was the first boss waiting for me with a small sized dinosaur.

After some bashing, the first boss were killed by me and I didn't lose any health yet (the healthy food helped for sure).

Episode 2: The Swamp Forest.
I don't know what the first episode was as I didn't see any title like this for the first episode.
So I started walking inside the forest and there were some dinosaurs and peoples with guns around and I killed both the dinosaurs and the peoples although the dinosaurs doesn't get killed actually, they kind of lose their strength and leaves the place.

I got a UZI gun and as I moved forward there was a sleeping dinosaur, a bigger one and two fatman was beating the dinosaur to wake it up.

Before I could kill the fatmen, the dinosaur was awake already and it started attacking us. I killed the peoples there and killed the health of the dinosaur as well although I lost some health.

Then after moving a bit more, I've found the second boss whose name is Dynamite although we knew him as butcher at our early age.

This boss was not so easy to handle and the tiny extra peoples around were more dangerous than the boss in some perspective. Though I was trying not to lose any health bar till I kill this boss but I lost one.

After losing a health bar, when the hero character lands again, that scene looks epic as he/she lands with little-sized missiles.

After landing for the second time, I shot the boss Dynamite with a bazooka and killed most of the health with it and then after some more flying kicks and punches, the boss died.

Then there comes the biker boss named Hogg. The biker boss was actually riding his bike towards Jacks Garage which is the garage of one of my character jack.

This is the third episode named Hell Road.
There were a lot of peoples and obstacles on the way which makes the road called as hell road.

There was an option to take a car and pass this road through the car but I was thinking of passing this hell road with foot but I almost lost all my health so I took the car that Jack brought for me.

After riding the car for a bit, there was the biker boss. There is an option to kill this boss from the car but it's not easy and it's not my cup of tea.

I couldn't keep up with the car as the boss damaged the car with bomb.

After fighting with the boss and his helpers for some time, I lost Mustapha for good.

This is the place where I need to buy another coin and there's a limited time to resume the game from the checkpoint.

This time I chose Mess O'Bradovich as my character and he landed with a bazooka. And I did boom boom with the bazooka.

And I killed the biker boss with a single bazooka shot.

Now we were heading towards Jacks Garage and Jack was talking about the garage.

This is the fourth episode named Jack's Garage.
The entry point was blocked with some barrels, tires and some men. My character came with the came with the car and destroyed the blockage.

There was the next boss Slice saying this place is his now and left at once.

Now I had to get to Slice and teach him a good lesson but before that, I needed to fight with a lot of peoples.

Then the Slice boss whom I started to shoot with a UZI at first and killed a lot of his health.
The specialty of this boss was he could run fast, and he had good skills with blades and he was attacking me with his blades only and he managed to kill my current character and I needed another coin to kill this boss although I killed most of the health of this boss with Mess.

Then I chose Jack Tenrec with the next coin and he came with a bazooka as well which I used

to kill this Slice boss.
