The Blood Choke.

Delaying main objective, I flew the Sunwing from the Isle of Spires to Thornmarsh for a side quest. After speaking with Atekka about a missing squad and a contaminated river, we tracked the source of the poison upstream, uncovering a freshly defeated machine carcass that suggested the squad was nearby.

My next big mission should start with assembling my companions from the base. But I decided to try some more side quests first. And having that in mind, I started flying my Sunwing out of Isle of Spires.

When I was getting out of the island, I noticed the sun started setting in the back, so I decided to stop there to witness this amazing stunning view, hovering mid-air as the horizon turned a vibrant, deep crimson orange.

Then I was passing the ocean while flying the Sunwing, and I was flying real low to check on the high currents of the ocean, when the wings of the mount almost skimmed the crests of the breaking waves below.

Upon reaching the other side of the ocean, I noticed some people took down the big machine on the beach, and it looked like those people were not friendly, and I didn't stop there, as I was keeping my distance to avoid an unnecessary battle.

I was on my way to Thornmarsh, as that became my next target for a side quest. And on my way, I noticed the tribe that were waiting for me for a race. Will check on the later.

Upon reaching the campsite, I understood I couldn't get inside flying the Sunwing, so I flew high enough so I could just jump and use my shieldwing glider to reach the camp safely, floating gently down into the center of the settlement.

I had to talk to this lady named Atekka to start the quest. And I found her talking to a kid who was sick and wanted her mother. Atekka was kneeling down beside the kid to offer whatever comfort she could.

After talking to Atekka, I got to know the kid's mother was sent on a mission with a squad, but they never came back. So Atekka asked for my help to go and check on them, along with another request, explaining the strategic importance of the missing fighters.

On our way, I noticed the poison on the river line that Atekka requested my help to clean up with. The blue slime choked out the natural vegetation along the muddy banks.

After following Atekka to the mouth of the river, we started following it upstream to find the source of the poison and hopefully the squad. And on our way, I found this machine carcass that was taken down recently.

And after examining it, Aloy understood it must have been the missing squad that took down the machine. So maybe we were just close to them.
