There's Beauty Inside Of You

It took me a long time to realize that I am beautiful and that I have the perfect body frame with curves in the right places. Now I look in the mirror and I am like,"see someone’s daughter ohh"

Back in secondary school(high school), they called me “Cowbell”. Those mean seniors thought I looked like those animations in the advert; big nose, lips et al. I laugh now as I
think about it but mehhnn.... it wasn’t funny that year😄.

They will call out 'Cowbell' when they see me and expect me to come running to them. If you ever went to a federal boarding school(high school), you should know the consequences of not answering your seniors .
They made fun of me and a lot. I am sure they were just having fun but that “fun” did a lot of damage to my self esteem.
As life went on, I went from not liking my face, to not liking my skin color and body size.
I was told by several persons that I was black and skinny, and apparently, somehow that was a bad thing. So I wanted to be "fat" so bad, I tried taking Complan milk and Vitamins to help out but no change .
What changed? I found in the pages of one of "Myles Munroes" books that you were designed the way you are on purpose for a purpose, your dark skin, shape, nose, eye, mouth, etc. was all on purpose, designed by the ONE who makes no mistakes, who made us in His image and likeness, and if God is beautiful, so am I.....

BOOM! went the light bulb in my head , that opened me up to see what the creator said about this creation (in Scriptures) and I told myself, that was what mattered most!!
And now, I have grown from seeing me in scriptures through faith to actually seeing that this babe is fine.

Moral Lesson: Be careful what you say to people even in your jokes, you might just be crushing someone's esteem.

I know you picked on some other lessons, please give us some wisdom in the comment section. ☺

Thanks for stopping by my blog.
