El Angel de la muerte es una película basada en hechos reales la cual también está basada en el libro de Charles Graeber, el cual lleva por nombre The Good Nurse (El Buen Enfermero), está película fue lanzada por la plataforma de streaming de Netflix el 26 de octubre del año 2022.
Esta película la vi por casualidad hace poco ya que me llamó la atención su nombre y como es basada en hechos reales pensé en verla, al leer su nombre supuse lo que se venía, me gusta más el nombre que le dio el periodista al libro, suena mejor a mi parecer.

I saw this movie by chance recently because its name caught my attention and as it is based on real events I thought about watching it, when I read its name I guessed what was coming, I like the name given by the journalist to the book, it sounds better in my opinion.
En esta película se puede ver a la protagonista Jessica Chastain quien interpreta el papel de la enfermera Amy Loughren, la cual ejecuta papel de manera limpia y sentimental, pero a su vez es quien a pesar de sus limitaciones logra poner fin a este drama.
La enfermera Amy Loughren, pasaba por una fuerte lucha en cuanto a una enfermedad cardíaca que cada día avanzaba más y el doctor le recomienda estar en reposo total mientras reunía el dinero para su cirugía de corazón, ya que la misma no contaba con un seguro para poder cubrir los gastos médicos para tener una solución a su enfermedad.
Sin embargo, ella trabajaba en turno nocturno y aparte era madre de dos niñas a quien debía también cuidar y proteger, solo le faltaban tres meses para ella poder optar al seguro y no podía darse el lujo de tener ningún reposo, mientras tanto debía seguir trabajando y produciendo para ella y su pequeña familia.
Mientras ella estaba de guardia nocturna, un nuevo compañero llega al hospital, un compañero del cual se hizo muy amigo, pues realmente parecía un ángel que había llegado en su auxilio.

En este momento de la película entra en escena nuestro actor Eddie Redmayne quien interpreta a Charles Cullen y es quien le da vida a esta película, el actor realiza una gran actuación, ya que no estaba acostumbrado a verlo actuar en este tipo de películas.

Cullen, al llegar al hospital ayudo mucho a la enfermera Amy, ya que una noche la encontró muy mal y ella le contó de su enfermedad y lo del seguro que necesitaba tres meses para poder obtenerlo, el amablementese ofreció a ayudarla y de hecho cuando había algún caso especial o una llamada de emergencia, él acudía para que ella descansará.
Amy le pregunto que de que otros hospitales venía y él le hablo de una conocida por casualidad de ambos, se hicieron muy amigos al punto que Cullen ayudó mucho hasta a cuidar a las niñas de Amy, fue su amigo y ella lo adoraba.
De repente en el hospital comienzan a morir pacientes de forma que no podían explicarse, sobre todo Amy, ya que ella les veía mejoría y de un momento a otro ya dejaban de respirar.

Los detectives, ya sabían quien era el culpable pero necesitaban pruebas y una declaración, por lo cual contactaron nuevamente a Amy y le hicieron saber quien era el sospechoso y ella no podía creerlo, pues ella confiaba en él, sin embargo ella contacto con la enfermera que había trabajado con Cullen y comenzó a hacerle pregunta de si ¿alguna vez hubieron muertes en ese hospital? Si cuando el se fue las muestres pararon? Y allí comprobó que había algo malo en su amigo.
Se fue al hospital y encontró algunos sueros intervenidos con medicina que podría matar pacientes, sin embargo al ver esto entró en stock y recayo con su enfermedad, fue hospitalizada y al despertar la estaba cuidando su amigo, ella le tenía miedo pues sabía lo que era capaz de hacer, pues hasta personas jóvenes en pronta recuperación morían.
Ella llevo pruebas a los detectives, sin embargo ellos tenían que hablar con los abogados del hospital y ellos por conveniencia nunca les daban la razón sin embargo lograron despedir a Cullen, pero iba a otro hospital lo cual las muertes seguirían, así que a Amy le toco po er a su amigo en evidencia o hacer todo lo posible para que él declarará.
Ella lo llevó a una cafetería, ella tenía micrófono, comenzó a preguntar que pasaba,? Porque lo despidieron? Si era cierto todo lo que decían de él? Pero el se altero y no confesó nada, no dijo nada, solo se fue.

Al final, la película termina Cullen en la cárcel, imputado por múltiples homicidios con 29 cadenas perpetuas, y Amy que aún vive gracias a la operación que pudo realizarse y salvar su vida.

Este tipo de películas me gusta, ya que son de vida real como dije antes, también se puede que ver que muchos gobiernos e instituciones tienen problemas que a un no logran resolver y muchos se quedan callados, por ejemplo Cullen pudo seguir matando de no ser por la enfermera que ayudó, ya que a pesar de tener evidencias no tan concretas no podían arrestarlo, y lo peor era que siempre lo enviaban a otro hospital como si nada, aún sabiendo que era un asesino, por que los abogados del hospital y los directivos no iban a permitir decir que era por culpa de ellos, por no tener las medidas necesarias y menos quedar mal como directivos.
Yo pienso que Cullen tenía muchos problemas psicológicos y en los hospitales deben hacer pruebas necesarias a los empleados, porque es una vida la que queda en manos de personas que no conocemos.
Es una película muy bien diseñada que mantiene al espectador, atento a lo que puede suceder y deja espacio a la imaginación anteponiendose a lo que puede suceder y la rabia que uno siente al ver como nadie lo detenía.
Ambos protagonistas hicieron papeles excepcionales y merecen un gran reconocimiento, interpretar a un asesino en serie no es fácil, mis respetos a los actores.

I think Cullen had a lot of psychological problems and hospitals should do necessary tests on employees, because it is a life that is left in the hands of people we don't know.
It is a very well designed film that keeps the viewer, attentive to what can happen and leaves room for the imagination before what can happen and the rage one feels to see how no one stopped it.
Both leads played exceptional roles and deserve great recognition, playing a serial killer is not easy, my respects to the actors.
