Splinterlands Social Media Challenge!

I used to post daily splinterlands posts, but these days, I am not posting daily, partly because I am in the same levels and battles became similar to me. So, I have been focusing on getting to higher level. It may not be so difficult to get the higher level, may be I'll just need to rent good cards and win more battles. But it needs to be sustainable for me and I need a way for sort of poor man strategy. But it seems like a better way is to invest some money to the game. So, I've been busy looking for the right cards to buy with lowest amount of investment. Hopefully, I have the right strategy and I will be able to report about my strategy and result. Until now, it is more like trial and error thing.
Anyhow, I bought a few cards and start using them and I am in a not bad position I have to say. Although I must admit that some of them are not the right buy.

The battle I'd like to share is against Life splinter with Shieldbearer and healer combination that focus on range attack with summoner boost. I mainly used Death splinter these days for I bought level 2 Death summoner and I had high level Silent Sha-vi. I couldn't use Uraeus for the battle rule Rise of the Commons denied the use of Epic cards.

It looked like going to be a long battle because of Shieldbearer and healer. But I had Grim Reaper to cancel the healer affect with Affliction ability.

_{Although my team focused on the back line, it will target taunted Shieldbearer first.}

_{Even though Cursed Windeku was knocked in the 1st round, my team had just enough fire power to take out Shieldbearer. The team needed the help from Carrion Shade.}

_{After Shieldbearer was eliminated, things became so much easier. Sneakers took care of the backline.}

_{Although Grim Reaper was slowed down to just 1 speed, still managed to knocked out Time Mage. Even if it miss, the outcome will still be the same.}

Although I thought it would be a long battle as it was usually with the Shieldbearer, it just 2 round to finish. This is the fasted battle against Shieldbearer for me.

Did my strategy work?
I think Shieldbearer, Venari Crystalsmith combination almost always work. Very tough to crack Shieldbearer with healer. But not this time and once Shieldbearer was out, it become very easy. Grim Reaper was supposed to apply Affliction but didn't need it. The right amount of attack was applied at the right time. Even if Shieldbearer survived the 1st round, I believe it won't be able to heal.

It is good that I got 900+ point right at the start of new season. Hope I can go up even further than usual.
