Going on a Tilt....again!! Rocket League 2v2 Ranked

Hello, gamers. Hope you are doing well.

If you read my recent posts, then you must know how big a rocket league fan I am. I play it almost every day sometimes much more than I should. At times, I feel frustrated as I kept losing when I want to end on a winning game. I am sure, you know the feeling of that tilt.

It happens to me even when I play chess online, especially bullet games. Today was one such day of Rocket League.

For those who are living under a rock and don't know what Rocket League is... it is one of the most famous vehicular soccer game created by Psyonix. You have to controll a rocket-powered car and hit a large ball with that to score more goal than your opponent's. It is a neat comcept, combining both soccer and cars.

I play 2v2 ranked matches almost exclusively.

Why 2v2 only?

Well, I play all matches 1v1, 2v2 or 3v3 but rarely the 4v4 chaos modes. Good that we don't have 4v4 in competitive mode. But my favourite one is 2v2. It feels like a perfect mode for the size of the arena, not too open/empty and not too crowded at the same time, just the way I like that. You can play strategically with 2v2 easily. 1v1 is not my cup of tea. Mostly because I suck at that...lol

I started well with a tight but high scoring match. Both teams were tied 4-4 but the last minute goal gave us a nice victory.

The next game was not what I expected after the last victory. I played poorly but my teammate played even worse than me. (using my pro tip here xD)

But I came back strongly in the next game. It was also a high scoring game with the final scoreline being 6-3 in our favour.

I got to level 260 in Rocket League and also crossed level 37 in this season rocket pass tier.

I was still in Diamond I div III. And now I am more comfortable staying at the diamond rank.

I was unlucky in the next match as my teammate disconnected within seconds of the start of the game. It was 1v2 and I knew I stand no chance against them. Even then I tried to stall and wait for my teammate to reconnect which he didn't. I had to forfeit after 2-6 and 2 mins or so remaining in the match.

This made me go on a tilt and I started playing much worse than my level. It was my teammate who got me through the next game but the next three games were all disasters. I should have stopped after the second game only but that "one more game" thing is lethal. Until you win you want to play one more game and end on a high note but in doing so you quickly lose two more and are now even more frustrated.

We gamers will never learn our lessons... will we? xD

• You didn't lose, it was laggy
• Only if I had a better monitor and graphics card.
• My little brother was playing the match.
• They were smurfing.
• I didn't sleep for two days.
• And the most important one: the Enemy team was hacking.
