To Choose Between Food Or Cell Phone For A Day

avatar

Hello there!πŸ₯°πŸ˜Š welcome back to my blog once again while I dive into this week's #hiveghana engagement topic that says;

Would you choose a day without your phone or a day without food? Tell us why..

I know what you might be thinking If you happen to read my last week's topic here where I talk about 'between choosing a homemade meal or buying a takeout.'

Oh, she is a big-time foodie, she is more likely going to choose food over her phone any day any time.

Well, I almost went for food instead of phone until I gave it a second thought. Hehe😊

Food is one important thing in our lives, it gives us strength and nourishes our body.

Phone, on the other hand, connects us to the rest of the world in the comfort of our homes. For some of us, our earning even depends on the activities we do on the phone.

These two are very important to you and me, and we are asked to choose just one and forget the other for a day.

Immediately I read for just a day, I exhaled and said thank God it is just for a day, so I won't be choosing food, and here is why;

I'm choosing to let go of food for one good reason and that is health reason here is how;

Every day we eat different kinds of food, and afterward, our body system is charged with processing them through our digestive system. Day in and day out, this process repeats itself. But sometimes it is beneficial to our well-being if we can give our body a little bit of rest like going into fasting.

Heath experts even suggested we practice intermediate fasting, once in a while for us to rip it numerous benefits. That way our body system can take a little time off, to rest and detox our system.

Due to this reason, regardless of how much I love food, if I should choose between not eating a day and my phone I will forget food and just turn it to fasting.

I won't die, right? I won't and at the end of the day my body will be strengthened and my mind will be clearer than ever before.

Talking about fasting, today is the first day of Ramadan and it has been going on smoothly with me.

My body felt light but strong. I felt like my whole system was finally getting that natural detoxification that it needed, thanks to the beautiful Ramadan.

Even though in Ramadan, I get to eat Suhoor i.e. the morning meal before dawn There are some days when I happen to wake up too late to take my Suhoor, and I'll end up fasting and I won't feel much difference.

Letting go of my phone on the other hand will be like me losing out.

Like creating content and engaging here on hive in a day won't be possible without my phone. I have some other commitments online that can't just let go of my hands set for a whole day without me lagging.

Apart from my online activities, letting go of my phone also means people won't be able to reach me. What if there is a life-changing opportunity or an urgent matter and they can't reach me? That will be very damaging or cause me a long-term consequence.

But if I let go of food for a day, I get nothing to lose at all, my body will even appreciate me for that.

In conclusion, choosing between the two items above depends on what I get to lose or gain, and when I do the comparison, I get a lot to lose if I choose food for a day over my cell phone, whereas I get more to gain if I choose my phone.

Oh, Let me not forget to add that after that whole day of fasting, I will get to spoil my dear myself with some delicious healthy meals.😊

These are my thoughts on the topic at hand, thank you so much for visiting my blog and for your support.
Have a great time at your end. πŸ₯°πŸ˜ŠπŸ™@funshee

A lot of people do not realize the importance of phones and their dependence on it until they lose their device or it becomes faulty.

Haha, I will be miserable without my phone for a whole day, but without food, I can cope better.

I understand where you're coming from. Letting go of your phone is difficult especially when you consider the things you'll be missing out on.

I can let go of my phone for food, besides it's just a day, and I can still do whatever I've missed the next day... Food to the world.

Yeaaah.
I was once in a church event where a medical doctor said fasting is good for the body and encouraged us to hearken to fasting on a regular note.
It's good no doubt, but I'm for food.
We are talking about 24hrs here.
Maybe the 24hrs is sounding too simple...
We are talking about from morning to the next morning.
God abeg πŸ˜…

I am choosing my phone all day, any day. I'll gladly go on an hunger strike for a couple hours just to access my phone.

I think I understand your perspective. If it's just for a day some people can definitely cope without eating.

Moreover, being on your phone will keep you busy that you won't even feel it that you haven't eaten.

Thanks for sharing and Happy Ramadan to you

Those are valid points you raised there. Food is important for the body's wellbeing but it's also good to give it break and go into fasting once in a while.

Yeah, a little break sometimes is good for our system to detoxify.

I'm none of the above tribes listed, I'm an Ebira, from Kogi state. !LUV
