Cho Kee's Wanton Noodle dish (It's a competition!)

I'm always in the mood to explore the hawker centers in the city in search of the next food gem. It's exciting to be able to find good food that I have never tried before. While it's equally disappointing to find something that doesn't suit my taste. Thankfully, there's more good food than the bad ones that I discover. There are tail signs that show whether a hawker stall is good or the food they serve does not appeal to everyone. Some people would like to check the Google reviews before they order from a specific hawker stall but for my case, I just observe before I order anything.

Firstly, the crowd will tell it all. If there's a queue then it must be good. The people won't lie about it. When they like it then they will queue for it.

There's a particular drink stall in the Old Airport Road Food Centre that will always have a queue. Their service is fast yet there will be 3-4 people lining up to buy a soy milk drink or dessert.

It's not even crowded but there's still a line at this stall. People just love soy-based drinks and desserts and this particular stall has managed to acquire loyal patrons for their products.

A few days back, I tried the Hua Kee Famous Wanton Noodles so for this dinner, I would like to try the other stall competing for the best bowl of Wanton Noodle. I ordered the top seller of Cho Kee Noodle which is the first item on their menu, the Wanton Noodle.

There's a friendly competition between Hua Kee and Cho Kee for the best Wanton Noodle in town. Their stalls are 1 stall apart and their recipe slightly differs from each other. I observe that they've been doing this for a long time already. Both Wanton Noodle are good too!

There are more items on their menu that I would like to try on my next visit. The first item is already good and it's the most affordable as well. I believe there are more good items on their menu that will be satisfactory. See you soon!
