Food Republic’s version of Teochew-style mix veggie rice

Food Republic is one of the food court brands that was able to expand its outlets all over the city. I believe that every Capital Land shopping malls has and it's always crowded during lunch and dinner time. I seldom go to any of their outlets because the prices of food is more on the expensive side. They are not expensive for a reason, they are able to provide the value that a customer pays.

I arrived to this outlet in Vivo City mall around 10:00 AM and there are only few customers who are having their early lunch as well.

Most of the stalls are not ready to serve yet while there are stalls who are still preparing their food yet they are already willing to serve their customers. I ordered at the mixed vegetable rice stall.

The dishes that I ordered were Chinese-style fried rice, stir-fried Bok Choy, Pumpkin, and Sweet-and-Sour Fish. This meal costs me S$9.80 which is much costlier than my usual lunch meals.

I made a good decision in selecting the dishes included in this plate. The fish is delicious and it’s perfect with the sweet and sour sauce. It gave the deep fried fish a refreshing flavor.

The vegetables were cooked perfectly. There’s no doubt, Chinese chefs are good in making sure that the vegetables are cooked to perfection.

I may not come here often but I do think that this meal, though expensive, feels satisfactory for me. I’ll be back to try the other food offerings on my next stroll at Vivo city mall.
