My go-to fried rice dish at Choy Kee's Seafood Place
I have always believed that the best-fried rice recipes in town are the ones from a Chinese restaurant. They make them using a Wok which gives it a distinct "char" flavor. This method will make sure that the rice will have a nice texture as well. In low heat, the rice will become mushy, and cooking it for too long will make the rice tough and dry. I'm not good at cooking but I do know where to get a nice and affordable fried rice dish. One of the places where I can find a good one is Choy Kee's Seafood place.
Tonight, I ordered the Seafood fried rice, their specialty!
It's the combination of fresh ingredients and skillful Wok-frying that made this dish worth craving. I would eat this dish at least twice a month, it's that good!
I'm having it with a cup of hot black coffee. Sounds like a bad combo but it works. I guess it's the bitterness of the black coffee that makes it even more delicious.
As always, the condiment that I request from the waiter is a good amount of pickled green chili. The tanginess of the chili cuts the richness of the dish and makes the taste more interesting. For me, the pickled green chili pairs well with anything that is fried... even a fried rice :).
a good reason why Seafood fried rice is my go-to dish is because of the variety of seafood ingredients in it. There are prawns, squid, and slices of white fish.
It's awesome that Choy Kee has managed to make good dishes and still offering them at an affordable price. I don't even need to go to high-end Chinese restaurants for a top-notch meal like this. Cheers!
Seafood food rice looks yummy but seems to me too to much rice and to less seafood 🤣🤣
lol true. how I wish to have more seafood 😅
