And yes, what you mentioned in your comment is a real issue. People become reluctant for the simple reason that they are looking into their emotions in a subjective way. The truth is that we often let our emotions take over our minds which gives rise to negative emotions stuck in us.

A good way to be mindful of our emotions and increase our self-awareness is to do activities like meditation, yoga, or simply anything so that you can relax and think about your emotions and actions in an objective way.

I'm telling you, this isn't going to be easy. However, if you are able to master it then you are definitely on the right track on your journey.
