Lo que me gusta mucho de este delantal es la guata que tiene que hace que se mantenga con forma, en este caso la dejé ya que aún estaba en buen estado entonces lo que hice fue quitarle todo el sesgo alrededor del delantal.

What I really like about this apron is the wadding it has that makes it stay in shape, in this case I left it as it was still in good condition so what I did was to remove all the bias around the apron.

Luego utilicé el delantal como molde y lo coloque sobre la tela a utilizar que es una tela rígida que sirve para hacer manteles.

Recorte y así quedó.

Then I used the apron as a mold and placed it on the fabric to be used, which is a rigid fabric used to make tablecloths.
Cut it out and this is how it turned out.

Pase costura por todo al rededor y además hice unas cinco líneas de costura verticales.

I stitched all around and also made about five vertical lines of stitching.

En la parte superior coloque un encaje rígido haciendo unas pequeñas ondas y ayudándome con unos alfileres para que quedara bien fijo.

On the upper part I placed a rigid lace making small waves and helping me with some pins so that it would be well fixed.

Aproveche en la misma costura para colocar el sesgo. (Costura recta). Y así queda.

Take advantage of the same seam to place the bias binding (straight seam). And this is how it looks.

Luego coloque el sesgo de la misma manera por todo el contorno. Agregué dos tiras de 30 cm por los laterales que serán las que se sujeten a la cintura y una de 40 cm para el cuello al cual pase costura en ambos extremos en la parte superior.

Then place the bias binding in the same way all the way around. Then I added two 30 cm strips on the sides that will be attached to the waist and a 40 cm strip for the neck, which I sewed at both ends at the top.

Para hacer el bolsillo delantero, recorte un rectángulo de 22 por 35 centímetros.

To make the front pocket, cut out a rectangle measuring 22 by 35 centimeters.

Lo centre con ayuda de alfileres al delantal y en la parte superior fije el encaje rígido. Se pasa costura por los costados y la parte inferior, y se deja abierta la parte superior donde va el encaje.

Center it with the help of pins to the apron and fix the rigid lace on the upper part. Stitch the sides and the bottom, and leave the upper part open where the lace goes.

Con esto tendremos listo este lindo delantal que hemos recuperado y además le hemos dado una segunda vida.
