Y ¿Por qué no?

Happy beginning of June dear friends of HIVE. How difficult it has been for me to make any publication lately. I'm going through a creative block, as a result of some situations I've lived through; although more than a creative block as such, I think it's one more of my ways of dealing with depression, because I can think of things, I can think of them, but I lack the definitive step of sitting down to materialize what comes to my mind. And this absence hurts me, don't believe that it does not. Because among all the great things that this platform represents for me, it includes the fact of feeling listened to and in company. Believe it or not, writing here is one of the best therapies that can exist. As magical as it is to feel that no matter how broken I am, I will be able to put my parts back together, becoming a whole again as I write to you. A Gaby far from sadness, as long as she can describe it. A Gaby far from her fears, while facing them. A Gaby close to love, while imagining it. Here I can be as much myself as possible, with me at my best and also with me when all my flats are ringing.

This past month I didn't feel good at all. To the point that someone I just met told me: you're low on energy, gabiota. One of two things: either he is too observant or I have been so bad that you can tell my mood by sight. I don't know, I'll never know. What I do know is that I need to start working on this. It's hard when you don't feel like getting out of bed. But I woke up today and I'm grateful for it, tomorrow I'll try earlier.

HOW DID IT GO TODAY?

The day went like all of them, I woke up; late for a change, I got ready at home, I arranged my hair, everything very slow... I realized that the jacket I have didn't dry well so it would be a very cold day, we are getting to zero degree in Buenos Aires. I don't like Wednesdays very much for a couple of years now, the street gets heavy people are sick of living or I'm sick of singing, either one of the two; the truth is that it's rare when a Wednesday goes well for me. Still, I left the house, with three or four layers of clothes, to wait at the bus stop for my new archenemy, the Acceso - how I hate it, God! This is a bus that takes us from home to the train station and I take it every day to get to the Capital, it takes forever to get there and when it doesn't take forever it's because you see it and it left you, it left and you saw it go even though you ran after it with a 30 kilos bugle in your hands (stupid Acceso).

I got on the bus after 25 minutes there, in the cold. I arrived at the train station, waited a few minutes and it arrived. I got on and disembarked after 25 minutes at the place of my second transfer, took the subway, and as Jorge, from Te Lo Resumo Así Nomás says: "Everything was going relatively well until it started going relatively badly ". It turns out that by mistake I got off at the wrong station and I realized it when I was half way there, I also noticed that I had left without drinking a glass of water and without eating since yesterday and I didn't have the slightest weight on me. Nothing, a real mess. While I was rectifying my steps, I started to feel bad, I took a few minutes to put the drops in my nose, but it was too late and I was all congested and I started sneezing and then coughing. My relationship with the cold is like with all the men in my life; I have loved them, they have fucked me.

Today everyone was bumping into me, everyone pushed me, they took away the station I wanted to use for singing, (tomorrow I will explain how I work so you will understand that). I tried to stay calm but the flu discomfort, plus the things that were happening to me on the road were taking away my courage, I felt in a race against the wind, one of those that you know you can win, because obviously you are stronger than any storm, but something inside you, makes you dream of how wonderful it would be to let go and float adrift to see where all the gale takes you.

The discomfort is something that makes me incredibly anxious because being my total income, singing, doing it with a voice affected by the flu will not be easy. Especially when I want so much to raise money to buy a computer to facilitate my work here, to record, to move, to dress, to travel; and besides these things that I long for, I also need money to face the cruel reality of a rent that is already breathing down my neck. And why not? I need money to go out partying because I love it and it recharges my battery, to come and tell you stories about my life. But if I don't have a life, what can I tell you?

So my dear readers, after the disaster of the mobilization to get to the place where I would be. I set out to sing, normal, a little difficult because of the discomfort, but nothing I could not solve. But no way, the street demands too much energy, and not the reserve, you have to have a full tank and I do not think that is my case. Three, four, five trains and nothing, not a peso, people feel, the public either loves you or hates you in the street and today it was not loving me very much. I took a few minutes, took a breath, collected what I could of encouragement that I had stored up there and got ready to start again.

THE EXERCISE OF BRINGING OUT THE GOOD

Anyway, work day over, I feel grateful for being able to do something I love, I also feel grateful that it wasn't so cold, and that when I got to the stop there was the Access waiting for me this time. And if you want to know; no, I didn't reach my daily goal, but every peso adds up, it's always more than what I had before I started. I was able to buy a few little things for my mommy that I had neglected her, and even though it was very little I'm super sure she enjoyed it. Every day that I win over the idleness is a truinfo for me. Tomorrow will be a new day.

I will keep trying, I will keep doing it, until I get the strength. Because that's what it's all about, isn't it? to try and try and try until I succeed. See you soon, my loves. By the way, I feel much better after writing these short lines, a little more aligned.

Thank you for always being there. I love you.

GABY

Oww. Thank you so much for responding to my post. It's very important for me to know that you read me. And yes, you're right. It's a lot on the table, but how to take time for me? I think that's impossible for me right now. What I have to do for now is to take matters into my own hands and move forward. There will be time to rest. I think that by doing things that I like little by little I will be able to improve my mood.

A Gaby far from sadness, as long as she can describe it. A Gaby far from her fears, while facing them. A Gaby close to love, while imagining it.

It is good to have a place where we can fulfil this. A writing block due to depression, and then also sadness and depression due to that writing block, a vicious circle one should brake, with patience and receiving some love!
I am glad you could find some peace and joy writing this post, and brake the ice 😇
