Greetings to all. The other day I was doing a series of drawings to practice, not to make any publication here or something specific, I was just practicing the outline, shapes and all that.

While I was drawing, I realized that I managed to make a face similar to that of an anime character (Japanese animation). I kept thinking about how I had made this drawing and I said to myself "Gabo, try to make a character and see how it goes". With this in mind, I set out to draw Goku, since he is a character I am currently making a sculpture of. The truth is that the drawing was interesting, a little minimalist but I think it was brutal, in my opinion. I leave you the step by step of the drawing, I hope you like it.

As with all drawing, I started with the sketches. I'm a little embarrassed to show them because they are horrible, but tell me, which sketch is nice?

Well, here you can see two images:

In the first one you can see the first lines, made quickly and without any care. These I did to guide me a little of where the head, neck or chest of the character should be.

Once I had this layer ready, I created another layer on top of it to make another sketch a little more elaborated, with the lines that I should follow for the final outline.

It should be noted that for this project I used the Medibang Paint Pro program. Specifically, for this outline I used the feather brush. You can see that, with more care and time, the outline was much better than in the previous sketches.

Although at first I thought of giving it color, that is, coloring it with the usual shades of Goku (in his Ultra Instinct state), seeing the black background and the white color with which I had done the outline, I came up with another idea and that was to do it with few colors.

With this in mind, I started to make the lines for the hair shadows, also other shadows, in the same white color, for Goku's neck, pectorals and other muscles. I even painted the eyes white as well.

I was going to leave it like this, before giving it more shine and other effects that would give more vividness to the drawing, but by mistake I made a thick line of gray color near the hair and I saw that it looked good, so I finished painting the hair with a light gray color, almost white.

As you can see, I painted both the eyebrows and the hair with this color, in the areas where it is not white. The white makes contrast as a shadow for the hair. It is an interesting effect.

Time to add magic.

Looking at it like this, for a t-shirt it would look great, but since it's a drawing I got more creative and started adding glitter, since it's Goku in Ultra Instinct, it has to shine.

So, with a blurred brush I started to blur all these white areas near the hair and the thick areas of the drawing, to get that glow-like effect. It didn't look as good as I imagined it in my mind, but it was the best I could do.

In this state I mentioned, Goku gives off a kind of energy different from his other transformations. I didn't want to overload the drawing with this, because I had an almost minimalist style, so I made a couple of these energy forms on each side.

Although at first I made them solid, that is, completely filled with color, I used the fuzzy brush to give them a little brightness and to completely blur some parts.

Another effect that had to be applied was the small energy spheres that run through Goku's body when he undergoes this transformation.

It's not something too elaborate, they are simply a selection of dots placed vertically. As with the rest of the elements, I applied the blur brush to give it some shine.

Already in the cover photo you saw the final result, but to give a little more variety in terms of color to the drawing, and to the publication, I made changes in the colors showing the various states or transformations in which Goku has been, keeping the same base drawing.

The transformations shown, in this order, are the following: the first is Kaioken, the second is Super Saiyajin, the third is Super Saiyajin God and the fourth is Super Saiyajin Blue.

And finally, again the final result, the original drawing with the white color characterizing Goku's Ultra Instinct state.

Saludos a todos. El otro día estuve realizando una serie de dibujos para practicar, no para hacer alguna publicación acá o algo específico, simplemente estaba practicando el delineado, las formas y todo eso.

Mientras dibujaba, me di cuenta que logré hacer una cara parecida a la de un personaje de animé (animación japonesa). Me quedé pensando en cómo había hecho este dibujo y me dije "Gabo, intenta hacer un personaje a ver que tal". Con esto en mente, me dispuse a dibujar a Goku, siendo que es un personaje del que actualmente estoy haciendo una escultura. La verdad que el dibujo me quedó interesante, un pocom minimalista pero creo que quedó brutal, en mi opinión. Les dejo el paso a paso del dibujo, espero que les guste.

Como con todo dibujo, comencé con los bocetos. Me da un poco de pena mostrarlos porque son horribles, pero díganme ustedes, ¿qué boceto es bonito?

Pues bien, aquí pueden ver dos imágenes:

En la primera se aprecian las primeras líneas, hechas rápidamente y sin ningún tipo de cuidado. Estas las hice para guiarme un poco de en dónde debería estar la cabeza, el cuello o el pecho del personaje.

Una vez que tuve lista esta capa, creé otra capa encima de esta para hacer otro boceto un poco más elaborado, con las líneas que debería seguir para el delineado final.

Cabe destacar, que para este proyecto usé el programa Medibang Paint Pro. Específicamente, para este delineado usé el pincel de pluma. Pueden ver que, con más cuidado y tiempo, el delineado quedó mucho mejor que en los bocetos anteriores.

Aunque en un principio pensé en darle color, es decir, colorearlo con las tonalidades habituales de Goku (en su estado de Ultra Instinto), viendo el fondo negro y el color blanco con el que había hecho el delineado, se me ocurrió otra idea y fue hacerlo con pocos colores.

Con esto en mente, comencé a hacer las líneas para las sombras del cabello, también otras sombras, del mismo color blanco, para el cuello, los pectorales y demás músculos de Goku. Incluso, los ojos también los pinté de color blanco.

Iba a dejarlo así, antes de darle más brillo y otros efectos que le diesen mayor vistosidad al dibujo, pero por equivocación hice una línea gruesa de color gris cerca del cabello y vi que quedaba bien, así que terminé de pintarle el cabello con un color gris claro, casi blanco.

Como pueden ver, tanto las cejas como el cabello los pinté con este color, en las áreas donde no está blanco. El blanco hace contraste como sombra para para el cabello. Queda un efecto interesante.

Hora de agregarle mágia.

Viéndolo así, para una camiseta quedaría genial, pero como es un dibujo me puse más creativo y comencé a agregarle brillo, pues es Goku en Ultra Instinto, tiene que brillar.

Por eso, con un pincel borroso comencé a borronear todas estas zonas blanas cercanas al cabello y las áreas gruesas del dibujo, para que quedase ese efecto similar al brillo. No quedó tan bien como lo imaginaba en mi mente, pero fue lo mejor que pude hacer.

En este estado que les mencioné, Goku desprende una suerte de energía distinta a la de sus otras transformaciones. No quería sobrecargar el dibujo con esto, proque tenía un estilo casi minimalista, así que le hice un par de estas formas de energía a cada lado.

Aunque en un comienzo las hice sólidas, es decir, completamente rellenas de color, usé el pincel boroso para darle un poco de brillo y difuminar completamente algunas partes.

Otro efecto que debía aplicar si o si, eran las pequeñas esferas de energía que recorren el cuerpo de Goku cuando tiene esta transformación.

No es algo demasiado elaborado, son simplemente una suseción de puntos colocados de manera vertical. Al igual que con el resto de los elementos, le apliqué el pincel borroso para darle un poco de brillo.

A continuación pueden ver algunos que hice en todo el dibujo:

Ya en la foto de portada vieron el resultado final, pero para darle un poco más de variedad en cuanto a color al dibujo, y a la publicación, hice cambios en los colores mostrando los diversos estados o transformaciones en las que ha estado Goku, manteniendo el mismo dibujo base.

Las transformaciones mostradas, en este orden, son las siguientes: el primero es el de Kaioken, el segundo es el de Super Saiyajin, el tercero el de Super Saiyajin Dios y el cuarto es el de Super Saiyajin Blue.

Y para finalizar, nuevamente el resultado final, el dibujo original con el color blanco caracterizando el estado de Ultra Instinto de Goku.
