Greetings, Holozing friends. Ever since the Healers were revealed, I was very curious about how I could make these cute characters. I'm not an expert in making anime style figurines, but I did want to make at least one to see how it would look, so I decided to go for a style in which I excel, the Chibi style.

Personally I'm attracted to gold, so when it came to deciding on a Healer the decision wasn't that hard, I chose the Healer of Light. Besides, it looks just great so doing the exercise of imagining how it looked like in Chibi style and then making the sculpture, was certainly a journey whose result you can see below.

Saludos, amigos de Holozing. Desde que los Healer fueron revelados, sentí mucha curiosidad sobre cómo podría hacer estos simpáticos personajes. No soy un experto haciendo figuritas estilo anime, pero sí quería hacer al menos a uno a ver cómo quedaba, así que me decidí por un estilo en el que sí me destaco, el estilo Chibi.

Personalmente me llama la atención el dorado, así que a la hora de decidirme por un Healer la decisión no fue tan difícil, escogí a la Healer of Light. Además, se ve simplemente genial así que hacer el ejercicio de imaginar cómo era en estilo Chibi y luego hacer la escultura, sin duda fue todo un viaje cuyo resultado pueden ver más abajo.

Step by step

Obviously I was not going to stop sharing the step by step, so you can enjoy the whole creative process involved in the creation of this figurine.

Every sculpture I make, as always, starts with a skeleton. In this case I made a simple skeleton just to keep the shape of the sculpture.

Paso a paso

Evidentemente no iba a dejar de compartir el paso a paso, pues así puden disfrutar de todo el proceso creativo que envuelve al creación de esta figurita.

Toda escultura que hago como siempre comienza con un esqueleto. En este caso hice un esqueleto sencillo simplemente para mantener la forma de la escultura.

On top of this support I started to make the basic shape of the body. I made her legs light skin colored and a long white dress, with a black background on the chest, covered by the white shoulder pads that can be seen on the figurine.

Encima de este soporte comencé a hacer la forma básica del cuerpo. Le hice las piernas de color piel clara y un vestido blanco y largo, con un fondo negro en el pecho, cubierto por las hombreras blancas que se pueden apreciar en la figurita.

I also added a green base similar to grass, as I imagined these Healers in the field looking for Holo. Additionally, I added more details in the clothing such as the arms with very long sleeves and golden strips in different parts of the clothing.

También agregué una base verde similar a cesped, pues imaginé a estos Healer en el campo buscando Holo. Adicionalmente, agregué más detalles en la ropa como los brazos con mangas muy largas y tiras doradas en diversas partes de la indumentaria.

Below you can see how only the body of this Healer is coming along. A small body to continue with the head of this doll, which by the style must be huge.

A continuación pueden ver cómo va quedando solamente el cuerpo de este Healer. Un cuerpo pequeño para continuar con la cabeza de esta muñeca, que por el estilo debe ser enorme.

The first thing I made was a big sphere of light skin colored plasticine. I began to mold it by making an indentation in the middle of the head, then I sunk the eyes a little more and made a bulge in the middle of the face, this would be the nose.

Lo primero que hice fue una esfera grande de plastilina color piel clara. Comencé a moldearla haciéndole una hendidura a mitad de la cabeza, luego hundí un poco más los ojos e hice una protuberancia en mitad de la cara, esto sería la nariz.

I continued with the eyes. The idea was to paint them gold, so I made a pair of big yellow eyes, then on these I molded the upper eyelids only.

With the eyes in place the head was already starting to take shape.

Continué con los ojos. La idea era pintarlos de color dorado, así que hice un par de ojos amarillos bien grandes, luego sobre estos moldeé los párpados superiores solamente.

Con los ojos puestos en su lugar la cabeza ya estaba comenzando a tomar forma.

Something that gives even more beauty and charm to the face are the shadows and the eyelashes, as well as the pupils. I did the eyelashes in black and the pupils too, black and very round, covering almost the entire size of the eye itself.

Algo que aún da mucha más belleza y encanto al rostro son las sombras y las pestañas, además de las pupilas. Las pestañas las hice de color negro y las pupilas también, de color negro y muy redondas, que abarcan casi todo el tamaño del propio ojo.

At this point I placed the eyebrows, in a white color with purple tints and colored the yellow eye contour with gold, in addition to the other yellow strips of the suit that I also retouched with gold.

Ya en este punto coloqué las cejas, de un color blanco con tintes morados y coloreé el contorno amarillo del ojo con dorado, además de las otras tiras amarillas del traje que también retoqué con el dorado.

Finally I made the hair with the white plasticine with purple dyes, something like violet but much lighter. I placed the clay in pieces and then began to mold each shape until I achieved the desired hairstyle.

Finalmente hice el cabello con la plastilina blanca de tintes morados, algo así como violeta pero mucho más claro. Coloqué la plastilina por trozos y luego comencé a moldear cada forma hasta lograr el peinado deseado.

The last thing I did was to place the tiara or crown that the Healer has on his head. I must admit that it was one of the most difficult things of the sculpture, because they were small details. I did them in yellow and then painted them with gold plasticine.

Lo último que hice fue colocar la tiara o corona que tiene el Healer en su cabeza. Debo admitir que fue una de las cosas más difíciles de la escultura, porque eran detalles pequeños. Los hice en amarillo y luego los pinté com plastilina dorada.

This way the figurine was finished. Below you can see other pictures of the final result:
