A few days ago I visited FILVEN, the International Book Fair of Venezuela. I had already attended the previous year, in fact you can see the publication by following this link:

This year it was also held in my city, only that the date was moved forward so I made my preparations to attend. I will tell you that this time I didn't buy any books, but I would like to share some pictures with you of the activity.

Hace unos cuantos días estuve de visita en la FILVEN, la Feria Internacional del Libro de Venezuela. Ya había asistido el año anterior, de hecho pueden ver la publicación siguiendo este enlace:

Este año también se hizo en mi ciudad, solo que se adelantó la fecha así que hice mis preparativos para asistir. Les adelanto que esta vez no compré ningún libro, pero sí me gustaría compartir algunas fotografías con ustedes de la actividad.

The exhibits, unlike last year, were much more varied and there were certainly more people to see than last time, with a greater variety of books and things of both interest and interest.

Las exhibiciones, a diferencia del año pasado, eran mucho más variadas y ciertamente se veía más gente que la vez anterior, con mayor variedad de libros y cosas tan interesantes como de interés.

I personally love illustrated books, because I always enjoy the drawings made by the artists, who seek to illustrate in their own way what is narrated in the books.

Take a look at this stand, for example, where there were a lot of books in this style, for all ages and tastes, all colorful and varied.

A mi en lo personal me encantan los libros ilustrados, pues siempre se disfruta mucho de los dibujos hechas por los artistas, que buscan ilustrar a su manera lo narrado en los libros.

Fíjense en este stand, por ejemplo, donde había un montón de libros de este estilo, para todas las edades y gustos, eso sí, todos coloridos y variados.

Take, for example, this pair of books. The first one is called Pia poco, by Fanny Uzcátegui, a book illustrated by Lilian Maa'Dhoor and Peli. It has quite interesting and peculiar illustrations, which are very useful when imagining what is narrated.

Fíjense por ejemplo en este par de libros. El primero se llama Pia poco, de Fanny Uzcátegui, un libro ilustrado por Lilian Maa'Dhoor y Peli. Tiene unas ilustraciones bastante interesantes y peculiares, que sirven de mucho a la hora de imaginar lo que se narra.

In addition to this, I was able to find a story as classic as Little Red Riding Hood, but with an impeccable illustration and very different from the traditional one. In addition to this, there were also other books that told more traditional stories, which had to do with the Yanomami aborigines, with a simply beautiful illustration.

Además de este, pude encontrar un cuento tan clásico como el de Caperucita Roja, pero con una ilustración impecable y muy distinta a la tradicional. Además de esto, también había otros libros que contaban historias más tradicionales, que tenían que ver con los aborígenes Yanomamis, con una ilustración simplemente bellísima.

This time at the fair I didn't find too many comics, something that has always caught my attention. However, I did find a stand where they exhibited several Manga volumes and compilations.

Esta vez en la feria no encontré demasiados comics, algo que siempre me ha llamado la atención. Sin embargo, sí me encontré con un stand en el que exhibían varios tomos y recopilatorios de Manga.

Although I'm not a fan of Boruto, it did catch my eye to find this little tome at the booth, so I opened it up and took a little peek. It was a volume of the first few episodes of the manga.

Aunque no soy fan de Boruto, sí me llamó la atención encontrar este pequeño tomo en el stand, así que lo abrí y le di un pequeño vistazo. Era un tomo de los primeros episodios del manga.

On the other hand, I also found an exhibit that caught my attention even more, it was one where they had a lot of books dealing with urban agriculture. They had on display a lot of seeds and products for sustainable urban agriculture, something I used to do before I had chickens in my backyard.

Por otra parte, también encontré una exhibición que llamó aún más mi atención, se trataba de una en donde tenía un montón de libros que tratan sobre la agricultura urbana. Tenían en exhibición un montón de semillas y productos para la agricultura sostenible en los urbanismos, algo que yo solía hacer antes de tener gallinas en mi patio.

I bought some Cilantro seeds, to see how they do, but I also ordered a few digital books, which were mailed to me, with information that will be useful when I decide to resume my desire to plant in the yard.

Compré unas semillas de Cilantro, a ver que tal, pero también solicité unos cuantos libros digitales, los cuales me enviaron por correo, con información que me será de utilidad cuando decida retomar mis deseos de sembrar en el patio.

Well friends, this has been all for now about my visit to FILVEN. For me it has been a pleasure to have shared with you this series of photographs. I was in the city for three days, but I only visited one day, so I don't have more to offer you in terms of photos.
