Greetings, friends. Welcome to another post on my blog. This time, I would like to share with you a figurine inspired by one of the characters from the game Splinterlands.

I recently made one, and today I'm sharing another one with you, inspired by a well-known character called Cornealus. It was a little difficult to make but quite interesting compared to others I've already made.

Saludos amigos. Sean bienvenidos a otra publicación en mi blog. En esta ocasión me gustaría compartir con ustedes una figurita inspirada en uno de los personajes del juego de splinterlands.

Hace poco hice una y hoy les comparto otra, inspirada en un personaje muy conocido llamado Cornealus, un poco difícil de hacer pero bastante interesante en comparación a otros que ya he hecho.

Step by step

The materials used for this figurine were as follows:

• Plasticine in various colors
• Wire
• Glue

To begin this figurine, I made the central part of the character, the eye. I took white, gray, and purple plasticine. I mixed just a small amount of gray and purple plasticine with a large amount of white plasticine. This allowed me to create the color you see in the image below, with which I made a sphere as round as possible.

Los materiales utilizados para esta figurita fueron los siguientes:

• Plastilina de diversos colores
• Alambre
• Pegamento

Para empezar con esta figurita hice la parte central del personaje, el ojo. Tomé plastilina blanca, gris y morada. Mezclé apenas una pequeña parte de plastilina gris y morada con una gran parte de plastilina blanca. Esto me permitió crear este color que ven en la imagen de abajo, con la cual hice una esfera lo más redonda posible.

Once this sphere was made, I began to mold the base. I used a small piece of wire to make the shape you can see in the image below. It is sufficient to hold the sphere I made and to maintain a stable shape that can support the figurine.

Una vez hecha esta esfera comencé a a moldear la base. Usé un trocito de alambre para hacer esta forma que pueden ver en la imagen de abajo, es lo suficiente para poder sostener la esfera que hice y para poder mantener una forma estable que pueda sostener la figurita.

In the image below, you can see that after making the wire shape, I used purple modeling clay to cover it and create what would be the central vein that forms part of the eye and can be used to hold the figurine.

En la imagen de abajo pueden observar que después de hacer la forma de alambre, usé plastilina de color morado para cubrirla y hacer así lo que sería esa vena central que forma parte del ojo y que puede servir para sostener a la figurita.

With a little glue and more purple modeling clay, I attached the base I had already made and fixed it in place, that is, on the white eye I had made earlier.

Con ayuda de un poco de pegamento y más plastilina de color morado fijé la base que ya había hecho y la fijé en su lugar, es decir, en el ojo blanco que había hecho antes.

I used purple modeling clay to make numerous thin lines that would simulate veins that I could place around the eye, as you can see in the image below. The idea was to make them thin, messy, and in such a way that they looked like veins and not just lines placed in a disorderly fashion.

Con plastilina morada hice numerosas líneas delgadas, que simularan venas que podría colocar alrededor del ojo, tal como pueden ver en la imagen de abajo. La idea era hacerlas de manera delgada, desordenada y de tal forma que parecieran eso, venas y no solo líenas puestas de manera desordenada.

Being an eye, it needs an iris and a pupil. I made the iris the same color as the purple plasticine I had used to cover the wire base, then I made the pupil a typical black color. To give it more of an eye shape, I flattened these parts as much as I could to blend them as well as possible into the white sphere, without using glue or anything else.

Al ser un ojo, este necesita un Iris y una pupila. El iris lo hice del mismo color de plastilina morada con la que había cubierto la base de alambre, luego la pupila la hice de un típico color negro. Para dar más forma de ojo aplasté lo más que pude estas partes para fusionarlas lo mejor posible a la esfera blanca, sin usar pegamento ni nada.

To give the eye more shape, I drew a few lines around the pupil to create the lines that eyes usually have. I drew long lines, small lines, and some very thin lines until I achieved the desired shape.

Para darle mayor forma al ojo hice unas cuantas líneas alrededor de la pupila para crear esas líneas que los ojos suelen tener. Hice líneas largas, pequeñas y algunas muy delgadas hasta que logré dar la forma deseada.

In addition to the lines on the eyes, I added more veins around the eyes that protrude like the base I had made before, only these veins were smaller but very striking. Notice that each vein even looks like a little hand belonging to the character itself, which is why I made the tips of the veins with two divisions as if they were fingers. That's how I made these parts of the character, all attached to the base I had made before.

Además de líneas en los ojos, hice más venas alrededor de los ojos que sobresalgan tal como la base que había hecho antes, solo que estas venas eran más pequeñas pero muy llamativas. Fíjense que cada vena incluso parece una manito del propio personaje, por lo cual la punta de las venas las hice con dos divisiones como sie fuesen dedos. Así fue como hice estas partes del personaje, todas unidas a la base que antes había hecho.

Finally, I wanted to give the eyes a similar appearance by creating their characteristic sparkle, making two small spheres that I placed on either side of the iris. I also added numerous lines of sparkle around the iris to simulate brightness in the eye.

Para finalizar, quería dar un aspecto similar al de los ojos creando el brillo tan característico que tiene, haciendo dos pequeñas esferas que coloque en dos lados del iris. También coloqué numerosas líneas de brillo alrededor del iris, también para simular brillo en el ojo.
