Jalopy is a very basic and simple game, its graphics They remind me a lot of when I used texture packs in Minecraft 2x2 and 4x4 bits Haha! Yes, they are very ugly graphics but what matters to us in this type of strange game is their gameplay, and that's why I got hooked on Jalopy.

Jalopy's story is very simple, we are far from our goal and we have a scrap of vehicle, literally, it is a car built with parts from several other cars, the brand is Laika. Our mission from what I understood is to take our uncle to his destination, which is a city quite far from our location. The problem is not traveling there, the problem is that we have a deplorable car, very damaged and that will be damaged with very little use, we do not have money and our worst enemy will refill the gas tank and fix our disgusting Laika.

I made a mistake at the beginning, which was accepting the trip with my uncle, which I had to have fact is to go out and explore the immense roads and get money since it is the most important in the game. I started and after a few km of travel, the car started to smoke. Vehicle and Jalopy are very interesting, it offers us a lot of realism when it comes to fixing our car, we can open the hood and check piece by piece, (what a btw, there aren't many) We can repair them or exchange them for new or better parts, they also recommend us to make an optimal mixture of fuel and oil, otherwise, we will damage the carburetor fast.

When we begin the trip we must pass through gas stations, they will become our best friends without a doubt because without gasoline we will not be able to go anywhere and we will have to return to the workshop and lose all progress (happened to me). Another of the most important things to check is the tires, they also wear out so it is good to carry 2 spares in the trunk. Jalopy is realistic in a certain way, our car starts with the key and turns off the same, we also have useful levers such as lights and indicators. We can open the trunk and store things, and even install an accessory on the roof to store more things there.

One of my main doubts is how to get money, our uncle (if we take him with us) will give us $50 when we are short of money, but there is another method of getting money is much more effective and realistic. As we travel we will find boxes pulled with loot inside, each gas station, apart from selling gasoline, has a small mini-market where they sell water, sausages, medicines, tools, cigarettes, alcohol, and many other things. Well, the boxes that we find on the road have that type of thing, one of the most common commercials is cigarettes, since in some cities they are prohibited, but if we sell them we will get plenty of money.

And yes, Jalopy has its own small market to buy and sell, it also has dealerships to improve our vehicles and hotels, where we will spend the night when we are too late. We must take advantage of the hours of light correctly since every night in that Damn hotel costs $20, it's not much, but at first, it is. We have borders in between each city, where we must give our passport which is stored in the glove compartment, and allow them to search our vehicle, but we cannot carry illegal things, such as alcohol or cigarettes, since they count it as contraband and fine us a lot of money.

Jalopy's sounds are very relaxing, and although the game is not at all realistic and the graphics are ugly, listen to how your car suffers for a distance of 300km until the engine is very pleasant, you can also notice the tire wear and wear of the pieces, a new sound is different from the used ones. Intentando viajar de Berlín a Turquía

Bueno, si me leen seguido sabrán que amo los juegos de simulación, especialmente
Lo de conducción, buscando en listas muy extrañas de juegos en Internet conseguí Jalopy. Un
juego ruso muy extraño en donde debemos conducir y gestionar nuestro dinero, gasolina,
aceite, repuestos, comida y vehículo. Apenas leí de que iba el juego me emocione, lo que no
me emocionó mucho fueron sus gráficos. Jalopy es un juego muy básico y simple, sus gráficos
me recuerdan mucho a cuando yo usaba paquetes de texturas en Minecraft 2x2 y 4x4 bits
haha. Sip, son gráficos muy feos pero lo que nos importa en este tipo de juegos raros son su
jugabilidad, y es por eso que me enganché a Jalopy.

La historia de Jalopy es muy simple, estamos lejos de nuestro objetivo y tenemos una chatarra
de vehículo, literal es un carro construido con piezas de varios carros más, la marca es Laika.
Nuestra misión por lo que entendí es llevar a nuestro tío hasta su destino, qué es una ciudad
bastante alejada de nuestra ubicación. El problema no es viajar hasta allá, el problema es que
tenemos un carro deplorable, muy dañado y que se dañara con muy poco uso, no tenemos
casi dinero y nuestro peor enemigo se volverá rellenar el deposito de gasolina y arreglar
nuestro asqueroso Laika.

Cometí un error al principio, el cuál fue aceptar el viaje con mi tío, lo que tuve que haber
hecho es salir a explorar las inmensas carreteras y conseguir dinero, ya que es de lo más
importante en el juego. Yo empecé y a los pocos km de viaje ya empezó a echar humo el
vehículo, y es que Jalopy es muy interesante, nos ofrece mucho realismo a la hora de arreglar
nuestro carro, podemos abrir el capo y revisar pieza por pieza, (qué btw, no son muchas)
podemos repararlas o intercambiarlas por piezas nuevas o mejores, también nos recomiendan
hacer una mezcla óptima de combustible y aceite, ya que sino dañaremos el carburador
rápido.

Cuando emprendemos el viaje debemos pasar por gasolineras, se volverán nuestras mejores
amigas sin duda alguna porque sin gasolina no podremos ir a ningún lado y nos tocará volver al
taller y perder todo el progreso (me pasó). Otra de las cosas más importantes que hay que
chequear son los neumáticos, también se desgastan así que es bueno llevar 2 de repuesto en
el maletero. Jalopy es realista en cierto aspecto, nuestro carro se enciende con la llave y se
apaga igual, también tenemos las palancas útiles como para las luces e intermitentes.
Podemos abrir el maletero y guardar cosas, e incluso instalar un accesorio en el techo para
guardar más cosas allí.

Una de mis dudas principales es como conseguir dinero, nuestro tío (si lo llevamos con
nosotros) nos dará 50$ cuando estemos críticos de dinero, pero existe otro método de
conseguir dinero, mucho más efectivo y realista. Mientras viajemos encontraremos cajas
tiradas con loot adentro, cada gasolinera aparte de vender gasolina tiene un pequeño mini-
market en donde venden agua, salchichas, medicinas, herramientas, cigarrillo, alcohol y muchas cosas más. Bueno las cajas qué encontraremos por la carretera tienen ese tipo de cosas, una de las más comerciales son los cigarrillo, ya que en algunas ciudades qué pasaremos son prohibidos, pero si los vendemos nos forraremos de dinero.

Y si, Jalopy cuenta con su propio y pequeño mercado para comprar y vender, también tiene
concesionarios para mejorar nuestro vehículo y hoteles, donde pasaremos la noche cuando ya
sea muy tarde. Debemos aprovechar las horas de luz correctamente, ya que cada noche en ese
puto hotel vale 20$, no es mucho, pero al principio si qué lo es. Tenemos fronteras en medio
de cada ciudad, donde debemos dar nuestro pasaporte qué está guardado en la guantera y
permitir que nos revisen el vehículo, eso si, no podemos llevar cosas ilegales, como alcohol o
cigarros, ya que lo cuentan como contrabando y nos multan con mucho dinero.

Los sonidos de Jalopy son muy relajantes, y aunque el juego no sea nada realista y los gráficos
sean feos, escuchar como tu carro va sufriendo en una distancia de 300km hasta explotar el
motor es muy placentero, también puedes notar el desgaste de los neumáticos y el desgaste
de las piezas, nuevas suenan distinto a usadas. El objetivo principal del Jalopy es llevar a
nuestro tío a su destino, si logras gestionar todo bien, y armas tu carro con mucho combustible
y repuestos, lo completaras en muy pocas horas, ya luego podrán jugar por diversión hasta
conseguir el mejor Laika, qué sin duda, vale mucho la pena.
