An elusive dragon was the key! - Weekly Battle Challenge

What's up? Today I'm back with another battle for the weekly challenge, where the splinter dragon is the focus this week. Today's matchup was very similar in terms of strategy between opponents, but, there was a crucial difference in terms of splinter and the presence of an elusive fire dragon that tipped the game in my favor.

First Djinn Chwala showed up with his good offense and formidable defense, boosted by his "thorns" ability which means that even when he takes damage, his aggressor gets hurt. This dragon was formidable in this battle, however, she fell in round 3 to Silent Sha-Vi.

On the other hand, Cursed Windeku, a tank with similar abilities, was on the other side of the battlefield. He managed to reduce Chwala's life quite a bit, but fell to his thorns.

Arachne Thing was present in both sides, however, in the opponent's field a golden color was shining, as the edition allowed it. This reach carrier was attacking the corresponding tank, almost as if it were a mirror style battle, however, because of my alignment, it was my Arachne who won the confrontation, being Chwala who delivered the coup de grace.

For the third position a minitank showed up in the rival team, and I can't think of a better way to announce it than with "presence" as its name includes this word. This shady card does not stand out much for its offense but rather for being a little "punching bag" that gives time to his teammates.

For my part, it was Silent Sha-Vi who covered that position; this snake finished off Dhampir Stalker, while the shadowy presence fell to the small and fast fire dragon.

For the fourth position, Silent Sha-Vi appears again. This is not unusual since this snake is an excellent attacker. She managed to finish off the shield breaker in my rear. For my part, Twister Jester was the chosen one; the truth is that she did almost nothing, only taking a hit, so she functioned as a temporary tank. The battle condition of giving Snipe to everyone put Twister Jester in extreme vulnerability.

For the finale Fire Sppiter was next to a curious shield breaker that fell a few seconds into the battle. The little dragon was formidable as he dodged a couple of attacks that put my team in advantage. I would say that without those two dodges, I would have lost.

On the opposing team, Uraeus and Dhampir Stalker were steady in the distance offense. However, Uraeus missed a crucial hit and then, with the fall of his teammates, he was helpless to be killed by the small fire dragon.

Curious fact:

By the end of the first round, at first glance things were looking very bad for my team. I was outnumbered and there was a strong goalkeeper in the back with a lethal attack to fear. However, Chwala's tenacity and superior damage output and the speed of the little fire dragon turned things around.

My opinion:
It seems to me that I have already spoken on several occasions about my opinion of this splinter, but it is not superfluous to add some details. Personally I find it amazing, the versatility it provides, the huge group of possible strategies is great. However, the cards are quite expensive, so when investing in this splinter, I recommend first renting and testing well the benefits offered by the target cards of purchase.
