An unexpected turn of events! | Curious Battles 53#

What's up? Here I am back with another extremely curious battle to share. In this issue number 52#, the hero was not the one that perhaps most would have expected, but rather a one of a kind, not with a prince charming face, but rather less pleasing to the eye but no less praiseworthy for his role in the battle.

On the front Cursed Windeku was on both sides, however the one with the golden glow stood out, elegant and imposing, with an advantage of 1 level. This was the enemy thorn bearer, who also showed an advantage in life and physical damage. Interestingly both fell in the same turn.

Since there was no magic (as the battle condition blocked it), part of Thaddius' abilities were disabled; the opposing summoner also had the advantage in level (4). Therefore, in the first instance it seemed that defeat was assured for me, however, it is not wise to be guided by the first impression, although this is important.

For the second position, the opponent placed a 2 mana archer, from the neutral splinter. A card from the Chaos Legion edition, but beyond serving as a minitank, she didn't contribute much to her team.

In my lineup it was Arachne Thing who was fighting from the beginning with his ability "Reach" but then had to take the role of main tank. He received a round of lethal damage from Dhampir Stalker that ended up defeating him.

In third place was my Silent Sha-Vi, a card carrying Sneak quite often in my battles with the death splinter. This swift snake was part of the key to victory, as the elusive Riftwing had managed to get my archers into a loop where they missed and took damage from its "BackFire" ability.

However, shortly after breaking the loop, the fearsome snake fell to the mighty archer known as the "Dhampir Stalker", who blasted it from a distance.

For the fourth position two archers were present, one in each team. On one side a shield breaker and on the other a Snipe carrier. Both were good in terms of battle performance, however, they were not the stars of this "show".

At the end was Grim Reaper with his ability "Affliction" that breaks healings, but that didn't help much in the absence of healers; next to the death-like archer was the true protagonist of the show, the underrated mucus "Creeping Ooze", which at its level 4 gets 1 point of damage. And it was precisely that point of damage that secured the victory after the fall of Silent Sha-Vi.

Extra Curious facts:

In this battle there were two key moments that brought back memories of scenes from the popular anime Dragon Ball. In the first instance, the Windekus' double knockout punch reminded me of the popular double punch scene in the series that appears in the battle of Goku vs Vegeta in ssj2 and also in Dragon Ball Gt, in the battle of the small successors of each of these main characters in the series. The other moment was Creeping Ooze's comeback, which reminded me of when Yajirobe cuts off Vegeta's tail turned Ozaru, just when all seemed lost.
