Earthquake martyrs?! - Weekly Battle Challenge

Two martyrs, from whose blood was born an almost unbeatable lineup! This battle ended in defeat for me, but that does not mean I will not share it, for it was quite exciting!

In the front a void and divine shield bearer appeared, nothing more and nothing less than the classic dragon knight that I have brought on multiple occasions. This powerful legendary did not stand out so much for his divine shield, but rather for his magical defense, however, that barrier would soon be broken by the combo of magical artillery powered by the martyrdom of two small creatures.

In the enemy team, the very well known Hill Giant was the chosen one, a common thing because of its quite appreciable life points in relation to its required mana, 6 points for 3 mana.

In the second position was the well-known Pelacor Mercenary, a very common card that, until not long ago, was frequently found in chests. This one gets Heal when going up several levels, however, this time it was at level 1 with a summoner of the same level and despite that it became a danger because of the advantage of having Flying and being boosted by the fall of the small Fungus Flinger.

In my field was Arachne Thing, with Reach to attack from his position and Flying by the summoner, this was fulminated by Goblin Psychic that had 5 points of magic damage by the Obsidian boost plus the two martyrdoms.

Fungus Flinger was present in the third position, only to be immolated by the earthquake, thus empowering the mercenary and the psychic, to create a deadly combo that despite being partly vulnerable to the earthquake, was able to sweep my team in a few turns.

I chose Silent Sha-Vi, because of his speed and damage in relation to his level, plus his Sneak ability. However, he couldn't do much, he missed hits against Regal Peryton and was destroyed by a hit from the same one he missed, after being weakened by the mercenary, whom he only hit once.

In fourth place Fire Spitter, the fast fire dragon from a few issues ago, was my epic card of choice. Although he already had flying despite the summoner, I still chose him for his good stats. He managed to land a few hits but was soon finished off by Peryton and Pelacor Mercenary.

A powerful goblin appeared in the opponent's terrain, doubly boosted by the fall of the martyrs in the battle, product of the earthquake. This mage, despite taking damage as well, got to have 5 points of magic damage that he used very well before dying, contributing a lot in the sweep of my whole team.

By the end, a Venari who was also martyred was for Goblin Psychic's double buff and Regal Peryton's monobuff. For my part Kra'ar Xoc and Furious Chicken were covering the rear. The idea of the two of them in the end was to be the final link before a resistance battle, where things would be decided by who resisted the earthquake (where I would have the advantage by flying). However, things did not work out that way, the magic in the rival team abounded, added to the fact that the mercenary and Regal Peryton had flying.

Curious fact:

Despite the advantage in my team (all with flying), the double martyr strategy turned the opposing team into a machine to sweep entire lineups. In addition to that, the mercenary and regal peryton were already prepared with their own wings and the healer was not left behind, because despite his vulnerability, he took advantage of his overwhelming magic power. This resulted in my defeat even though there was also a numerical advantage on turn 2.
