Facing a combo of martyrs! | Curious Battles 54#

Greetings! Here I am back with another curious battle to share, this time, a combo of bloodlust + 2 cards with the ability "martyr", was the strategy I had to fight in a recent Brawl type battle. The change of Guild, to one that is a little higher, has given rise to much more interesting battles, it seems that things are much more competitive.

First of all "Serpent of Eld", a tank well known for its speed, its power and its ability to dodge frequently. This tank has been with me for many seasons, in fact I bought it in my early days in the game.

Fungus Flinger was the first martyr of this battle, this little monster of the earth splinter was one of those responsible for empowering Palidon Rakk, his ability has become popular lately, as immolating one of these martyrs empowers nearby allies.

Personally I have applied strategies like that several times and it has been effective, however, a recommendation is to gather enough cards of that type (martyr), so that they are not only destined to die, but to contribute a little to the offensive.

For second place "Tide Biter", it's back to another of my curious battles. This Reach carrier is excellent for offensive support, providing a constant 2-point attack. His speed is quite appreciable as well, although his low health leaves him somewhat exposed at times.

Palidon Rakk, was the powerful, the key card of the enemy team. His power was increased by the two martyrs that boosted him, plus his own bloodlust also gave him a dose of damage, life and extra speed.

Isgald Vorts was the third champion I chose for this contest, this gladiator took advantage of his bloodlust and helped in the mission to bring down Palidon Rakk.

In rival terrain a Venari from the new batch of rewards cards was the chosen one, this one in particular worked as second martyr, and boosted the enemy gladiator and the archer that was behind him.

For the fourth position, another of my classics returns. The pirate captain, with his snipe was part of the platoon that finished off the fearsome enemy gladiator. This one started by finishing off the martyr Venari, generating an enemy power-up, but then together with the rest of the team he shot at a single target.

In the opponent's lineup, another card of his own from the non-transferable batch of rewards was in his team. A rather interesting goblin capable of delivering a powerful 6 damage attack. This bomb-lover couldn't do much for his team, as his only charged attack during the battle, he missed when throwing it against the elusive snake.

Creeping Ooze was chosen by the opposing team for the rearguard, he fell at the beginning of the game at the hands of my gladiator, which made him take advantage of his bloodlust. Curiously enough, in the last curious battle it was that card with a viscose appearance, the one that is often underappreciated, that secured the victory for me.

For my part the healer "Crustacean King" was my chosen card. This crustacean missed a few hits in the battle, but, next to him a well-known shark was the one who gave the coup de grace to the enemy gladiator.

Extra Curious facts:

The fast snake came close to falling much earlier and putting the whole team in trouble, but its speed and dodging ability ensured the victory. There was a moment when it seemed that the victory would go to the opponent because the gladiator had accumulated 2 power-ups for the martyrs and 1 for his "bloodlust" ability.

I just came across this post by accident and was surprised that I was featured. I'm happy to be involved in helping learn about new cards or skills even though at that time I was lacking in knowledge about them myself.
