"Void", a golden skill! | Curious Battles 44#

What's up? Here I am again with another curious battle that I thought worthy of sharing for this series. Delwyn vs Delwyn with a lot of legends in the battlefield!

In the first position two legends face each other, on one side my knight-dragon stealer and on the other Xilax Nightwind, a skeleton knight from the Gladius edition. Since there was so much magic on the battlefield the fact that they both had abilities focused on defending against mages meant that as tanks they were not far behind each other.

However, there was a danger that "bloodlust" would turn Xilax into a bloodthirsty berserk; this could be avoided thanks to the summoner's magic empowerment (which was the same on both sides), he gave so much power that Xilax was defeated before he started to empower himself uncontrollably.

He is followed by a card from the "Riftwatchers" edition, Night Goul, a powerful tank with "Taunt" to draw the attention of his opponents. His beautiful golden color gives him quite a lot of status in battle, however, his lack of defense against magic left him quite vulnerable. So much so that near the end of round 1, he fell to the Lich on my team.

In the second position of my team "Void Dragon" comes to the fore again. His defensive characteristic against magic prevented the enemy Lich from accumulating a lot of life with the Life Leech + Blast combo.

For the third position a small and legendary healer is presented. Known for creating annoying loops that ensure the victory of his team is not to be underestimated, however his low life condemned him to fall fast. Although he was promptly revived, he then fell again.

For my part "Witch of Warwick" was my choice, this soul-swallowing witch was three times benefited by the combo that is created when there is "blast" for everyone by the battle condition. This is because she managed to accumulate a lot of life, to get boosted by her "bloodlust" and also to obtain great extra benefits by the +1 in magic damage that the summoner gave her.

Constantia, the legendary mage was my opponent's choice for the fourth position, she was able to lift the small healing spirit that preceded her, but this was not of great benefit, as she fell quickly (as I mentioned before). Magi Necrosi took full advantage of her "Snipe" ability, because as with Constantia, several fell because of her forceful attack.

In the fourth spot of my "Ancient Lich" formation, the legendary life stealer of the death splinter was present. Like the witch, his life-stealing combo was fulminating, managing to accumulate 6 life points and give the coup de grace to the last monster at the end of the fight, which was the powerful sphinx.

For the end of the formation, Magi Necrosi was a formidable sniper who took advantage of his camouflage and boosted attack to take down several enemies without taking any damage (although there were no Sneak or Snipe monsters in the enemy camp). Zyvax Vuul accompanied him and with his charged attack broke the defense of the enemy Lich and the sphinx at the end of his formation.

Extra Curious facts:

In spite of the great enemy power, all my team stood up until the end of the combat, I consider that the magic defense together with the great damage of the allied mages was the key to victory, that added to the blast of the battle condition. Delwyn Dragonscale was on both sides of the battle, at the same level and powering with great momentum, but that defensive difference is definitely not something to be underestimated.
