Noobing with the fellas - How was the experience? | Fall Guys

Since a few days ago (specifically June 21) Fall Guys is available in the Epic Store, as many know this game was one of the booms some time ago so the guys from Hive GC did not want to miss the opportunity to play it so the first day we downloaded it and at night we played some games.

The squad was formed by @oldfool, @therealflaws, Wevi (he doesn't have a profile in hive I think), and myself, in which we played several games, and in many of them, and the one I bring you in the video below is no exception. Beforehand I want to apologize to those who watch the video that the sound has a lot of noise because of Wevi's mic, but I think you can still enjoy the game and the context of it in general.

As I said before, Fall Guys is a game that came out some time ago and had a lot of repercussions in the gaming scene since many streamers used to bring it a lot as happened with games like Among Us. Unfortunately, the game was declining and you may wonder why this happened? Well, I think the most obvious thing to think is that it was silly to pay for a game that had micropayments in it, which could stop new audiences from trying it besides other things that I will tell you later.

In addition, I think it is a factor that involves many things because the system as such Fall Guys makes it a game very dependent on the RNG factor, I know that this point can be taken from another section, but obviously, this makes competitive scenes, ranked systems, etc. are not developed. That makes many people keep playing the game to be able to overcome it constantly, so you have to take it more from the point of view of fun.

I think this is the main reason why everything was happening since many people will not play it constantly but for fun, and after a while they can get bored because it is something that usually happens with any game. It is quite usual to see games die because of this, the only thing that can be done to keep adding innovative things is to add maps and game modes, which add new mechanics and make the game feel like something totally different every season.

However, I see Fall Guys as a pretty cool game, I think playing with friends is pretty cool to be able to compete through different maps and game modes that make it great. Within it we can crossplay with different platforms as you will see in the video, Wevi plays on PS and we play on PC without any inconvenience which is something that in this case is necessary to play with any friend, even more so today that is also a way to revive the game a little more so on that side I think it's good.

Although of course, something that I did not like was the issue of how they carry the parties, the lobbies, in general, tend to become short at some point because usually in a game can make the presence of 60 people in total. Something I saw with games like Stumble Guys (a copy of FG on mobile devices) is that you can make lobbies that occupy a game, obviously, this is controversial, but I think that being able to make one of 10 or 12 people would be something that would be pretty cool.

Throughout the time, we had some pretty good matches, in fact, on one occasion I came in second, but I think I had a bad timing to end up winning it. I have many styles of games that are usually my favorites, such as career modes, survival, and ranking, and one, in particular, came to my attention was a kind of volleyball, I don't know exactly how these game modes are called, but I like that style of playing 1V1 against another person.

I also liked the maps a lot, I feel that the colorful touch of the game along with the design of the characters is one of the things that pleased me the most as they tend to look very adorable themselves. Some mappings are good, although others tend to be a bit annoying, to tell the truth, like the infinite jump race map which at some points tends to become difficult as there are many bottlenecks and the hitboxes of the dummies tend to push you around.

In conclusion, I think that so far the experience with Fall Guys has been pretty good, I liked a lot of things although it is also clear that the game may need to include new game modes. You can play in squads and pairs gathering a specific amount of points that will make you climb within a classification, it is quite good because one person can reel in the team, but then if it becomes necessary for everyone to contribute.

I think it is a game that needed to be like this, free so that everyone could have the experience of accessing it and enjoy with friends how much fun it can be, I personally at the time did not imagine that I would never get to play it because when it came out I did not have a good PC and I am pleased to say that now, it is never too late for all that, and you Have you tried it? Desde hace unos días (específicamente el 21 de junio) que Fall Guys se encuentra disponible en la tienda de la Epic Store, como muchos sabrán este juego fue uno de los booms hace un tiempo atrás así que los muchachos de Hive GC no queríamos perder la oportunidad de jugarlo por lo que el primer día lo descargamos y en la noche jugamos algunas partidas.

La squad estuvo conformada por @oldfool, @therealflaws, Wevi (no tiene perfil en hive creo) y mi persona en la cual nos dispusimos a jugar varias partidas manqueando en muchas de ellas y en las que les traigo a continuación en el vídeo no es la excepción. De antemano quiero pedir disculpas para quienes vean el vídeo que el sonido tiene bastante ruido por el mic de Wevi, pero creo que igual se puede disfrutar la partida y el contexto de ella en general.

Como bien adelanté, Fall Guys es un juego que salió hace un tiempo y tuvo bastante repercusión en la escena del gaming ya que muchos streamers en su momento solían traerlo bastante al igual que pasó con juegos como Among Us. Lastimosamente el juego fue decayendo y se preguntarán ¿Por qué sucedió esto? Pues, creo que lo más obvio que se podrá pensar es que era algo tonto pagar por un juego que dentro de él tenía micropagos lo cual a público nuevo pudo frenarlo de probarlo.

Además, creo que es un factor que envuelve a muchas cosas ya que el sistema como tal de Fall Guys lo hace un juego muy dependiente del factor RNG, se que en este punto puede llevarse desde otro apartado, pero evidentemente esto hace que no se desarrollen escenas competitivas, sistemas de rankeds, etc. Que hacen que mucha gente se mantenga jugando al juego para poder irse superando de forma constante, así que hay que llevarlo más desde el punto de vista de diversión.

Obviamente creo que esto es el fundamento principal del por qué fue sucediendo todo, ya que muchas personas no irán jugándolo de forma constante sino por diversión y al cabo de un rato pueden irse aburriendo ya que es algo que suele suceder con cualquier juego. Es bastante usual ver juegos morir por ello, además de que lo único que puedes hacer para ir metiendo cosas innovadoras a él es ir añadiendo mapas y modos de juegos, que están bien pero no cambian mucho la temática.

Sin embargo, veo a Fall Guys como un juego que está bastante chévere, creo que para jugar con amigos está bastante bueno el poder competir mediante diferentes mapas y modos de juegos lo cual hace cool. Dentro de él podemos hacer crossplay con diferentes plataformas que como verán en el vídeo, Wevi juega en PS y nosotros en PC sin ningún tipo de inconveniente alguno que es algo que en este caso es necesario para poder jugar con cualquier amigo.

Aunque claro, algo que no me gustó fue el tema de como llevan las partys, los lobbys en general que suelen hacerse cortos en algún rato ya que por lo general en una partida puede hacer presencia de 60 personas en total. Algo que vi con juegos como Stumble Guys (una copia de FG en dispositivo móvil) es que pueden hacerse lobbys que ocupen una partida, obviamente esto es algo controversial, pero creo que el poder hacer uno de 10 o 12 personas sería algo que estaría cool.

A lo largo del rato, tuvimos partidas bastante buenas, de hecho, en una ocasión quede de segundo, pero creo que tuve un mal timing para poder terminar ganándola. Tengo muchísimos estilos de juegos que suelen ser mis favoritos, como los modos de carrera, supervivencia, clasificación y uno en particular llegó a llamar mi atención que era una especie de voleibol, no sé exactamente como se llaman estos modos de juego, pero me gusta ese estilo de jugar 1V1 contra otra persona.

También los mapeados me gustaron muchísimo, siento que el toque colorido del juego junto con el diseño de los personajes es una de las cosas que más me agradó ya que suelen tener un aspecto muy adorable en sí. Hay mapeados que son buenos, aunque hay otros que suelen ser un poco molestos, a decir verdad, como el mapa de carrera de saltos infinitos el cual en algunos puntos suele tornarse difícil ya que hay muchos cuellos de botella y las hitbox suelen empujarte.

En conclusión, creo que hasta el momento ha sido bastante buena la experiencia con Fall Guys, me gustaron muchísimas cosas aunque también es evidente que al juego quizás le haga falta inclusiones de nuevos modos de juego. Puedes jugar en squads y parejas reuniendo una cantidad de puntos específica que hará que escales dentro de una clasificación, es algo que está bastante bien ya que una persona puede carrear en el equipo, pero luego si se necesita aporte de todos.

Creo que es un juego que le hacía falta estar así, gratis, para que todos tuvieran la experiencia y pueden disfrutar con amigos lo divertido que puede llegar a ser, yo personalmente en su momento no imaginé que nunca lo llegaría a jugar ya que cuando salió no contaba con una buena PC y me complace decir que ahora, nunca es tarde para todo eso, y tú ¿Ya lo probaste?
