As I mentioned before, even though I'm not a professional makeup artist, I've had a lot of practice thanks to the years I've been dancing and having to do my own makeup, so I know a trick or two about it. I still don't consider myself a professional just because I don't think I've put in enough time to be one. The type of makeup I'm going to show you next is what I usually do for a cocktail type thing, where I want to look done up but not overdone. For something more important I do something more elaborate which I will show you soon. So, let's get started:
Step 1: We start by making our eyebrows, this step is super important because they are the frame of our face. I use a pomade and an eyebrow brush, after I gave them the shape I want, I clean around them with a little bit of concealer. You can do them the way you want, there are several techniques, choose the one that suits you best.
Step 2: Once we have our eyebrows ready and nice, we proceed to place a super clear concealer throughout our eyelid and then blend it. Remember that the secret of a good makeup is to have patience, so do it calmly so you don't make a mess.
Step 3: As we already have our concealer blurred, we must place a transition shadow, it will help us to blend all the colors we place later with less effort. In this case I took a shade between light pink and nude, and I placed it all over my eyelid.
Step 4: Now the magic begins. We will take a strong pink, the one of your preference, just keep in mind that it will be the color that gives depth to the makeup. And we will place it on the outer part of the eye or outer V (as you know it) with a brush to blur more or less large, depending on your eye.
Step 5: Now that we have placed the stronger pink, we will take a satin shadow also pink but now a little lighter and we will place it with a flat brush in the middle of our eye just in the center of the socket. The secret here will be that after applying well our satin shadow, with another flat but clean brush, we will drag a little of the satin shadow towards our strongest pink, to blend a little.
Step 6: "Finally" we will place a white or cream satin color from where the light pink ended up to the tear trough. And we repeat the process of dragging the white/cream towards the satin pink so that you see a smooth transition between the colors.
Step 7: After we finished with the top part I had a pause to apply the base and seal it, to continue with this step, here we will only take a black eye pencil and place it on our waterline, with this we seek to give more intensity to the makeup.
Step 8: This step I did separately because just adding the pencil I feel it was not enough, so I added (on the recommendation of a friend) black shadow also super close to the waterline. As I said the idea is to give more intensity to the makeup so it doesn't go unnoticed.
After this, I just had to finish adding details to the face, I love blush so I put a lot of it. You can complete your face as you like. Here are the results:
