For me baking is a hobby that gives me a lot of peace of mind, whenever I can I try a new recipe to sweeten my palate and that of my family, this time I decided to show you how I make an impossible cake, chocoflan or quesitorta (I do not know how you call it you 🤣) which is a basic chocolate cake that has quesillo or flan in its upper bed, these two sweets together is a delicious experience and so easy to make that you will be surprised.
Te comento querido lector que mi idea principal no era hacer una torta imposible, sino que estaba haciéndole una pequeña torta a mi papá de chocolate de regalo para su cumpleaños y mi mamá por su parte iba a hacerle un quesillo, ya que ambos postres son los favoritos de mi papá, pero al terminar estás preparaciones, notamos que nos sobraba un poco de ambas mezclas y decidimos darnos un gustito 😂. Así que aquí vamos, iniciaré con la mezcla de la torta y luego con la del quesillo.
I tell you dear reader that my main idea was not to make an impossible cake, but I was making a small chocolate cake for my dad as a gift for his birthday and my mom was going to make him a quesillo, since both desserts are my dad's favorites, but when we finished these preparations, we noticed that we had a little left over of both mixtures and decided to treat ourselves 😂. So here we go, I'll start with the cake mixture and then with the quesillo mixture.
Para la torta | For the cake
Colocaremos en un envase para mezclar 1/4 de taza de aceite, un poco más de media taza de azúcar y 2 cucharadas de mantequilla y mezclaremos hasta que se deshagan los cristales de azúcar y luego añadiremos dos huevos a la mezcla.
Place 1/4 cup of oil, a little more than half a cup of sugar and 2 tablespoons of butter in a mixing bowl and mix until the sugar crystals are broken down and then add two eggs to the mixture.
Ahora colocaremos 2 tazas de harina y 3 cucharadas de cacao en polvo a la mezcla. Si notas que la mezcla está deshidratada (dura) puedes colocarles agua o leche poco a poco e ir mezclando hasta que la notes suave otra vez, además de esto te aconsejo agregarle 3 cucharadas de vainilla para resalta el sabor del chocolate.
Now add 2 cups of flour and 3 tablespoons of cocoa powder to the mixture. If you notice that the mixture is dehydrated (hard) you can add water or milk little by little and mix until you notice it soft again, besides this I advise you to add 3 tablespoons of vanilla to enhance the chocolate flavor.
Ya con esto tenemos una mezcla lista. La reservaremos un momento mientras hacemos las mezcla del quesillo.
With this we have a ready mixture. We will put it aside for a moment while we make the quesillo mixture.
Para el quesillo | For the quesillo
Tomaremos una taza de leche y la Colocaremos en un envase para mezclar (diferente al de la torta, obviamente). A esta taza de leche le agregaremos 3 huevos y seguiremos batiendo.
We will take a cup of milk and place it in a mixing container (different from the cake, obviously). To this cup of milk we will add 3 eggs and continue beating.
Luego de haber agregado los huevos llegó la hora de agregar la leche condensada, en mi caso era una de 370cm³ y casi por completo a la mezcla. Después añadí 2 cucharadas de vainilla y listo. Ya tenemos nuestra mezcla de quesillo.
After adding the eggs it was time to add the condensed milk, in my case it was a 370cm³ and almost completely to the mixture. Then I added 2 tablespoons of vanilla and that was it. Now we have our quesillo mixture.
LA COCCIÓN | COOKING
Esto creo que es lo más importante, a la hora de realizar una torta imposible ni seremos haciendo caramelo con un cuarto de taza de agua y 5 cucharas de azúcar que colocar hermosa hervir y esperaremos hasta que te forma nuestro caramelo recuerdo mezclar constantemente para evitar que esté se queme.
Ahora que tenemos nuestro caramelo, lo colocaremos en nuestra quesillera, en mi caso ya que era poca mezcla tanto de torta como de quesillo, lo hice en un envase para galletas (Aquí a todo vamos a encontrarle un nuevo uso🤣) .
En fin, ponemos el caramelo en la quesillera y procuraremos que este cubra todos los lados para evitar que se pegue. Y posterior agregamos nuestra mezcla de quesillo. Y al horno a baño María. Recuerda no llenar hasta el tope la quesillera pues dentro de poco en ella tendremos que colocar muestra mezcla de torta.

Remember not to fill the quesillera to the top because soon we will have to place the cake mixture in it.
Aproximadamente después de 10 o 15 minutos revisamos nuestro quesillo. Si vemos que la mezcla ya comienza a endurecer, llegó la hora de colocar nuestra mezcla de torta encima de el.
After approximately 10 to 15 minutes we check our quesillo. If we see that the mixture is starting to harden, it is time to place our cake mixture on top of it.
Ya solo nos queda esperar de 15 a 20 min para que la torta se cocine. Recuerda vigilarla constantemente para evitar que se queme. Y listo tenemos nuestra rica torta imposible, que ya no parece tan imposible, o si? 💕
Now we only have to wait 15 to 20 minutes for the cake to bake. Remember to watch it constantly to prevent it from burning. And now we have our delicious impossible cake, which doesn't seem so impossible anymore, does it? 💕
