Terra (LUNA) Has Activated Inter-Blockchain Communications (IBC) and Is Now Part of Cosmos Ecosystem

Terra (LUNA) is one hack of an expanding blockchain. With its already popular algorithmic stablecoin UST (that might give us some ideas about the potential of HBD), they don't seem to discriminate on blockchains they link to.

Terra (LUNA) is already connected with EVM blockchains (Ethereum, BSC), with Solana, and now with Cosmos ecosystem. I read Thorchain is coming too. Good for them!

Regarding the Cosmos integration, it was possible for a while, it just needed to be activated. And it has been. I actually learned about it from a banner on Osmosis, as I was managing my daily rewards:

It will be added to Keplr in an experimental stage, for now:

That gives Terra and its two popular coins LUNA and UST access to 18 other blockchains via IBC. And it added to Cosmos a stablecoin with enough market cap and confidence in the crypto sphere, something it lacked.

On Osmosis, there are already two incentivized pools based on the LUNA and UST:

  • UST/OSMO
  • LUNA/OSMO

What I'll need to check later is more about the Terra ecosystem and how I can better use LUNA and / or UST there, if I want to transfer some from Osmosis pools to the home chain.

Yup, I think that's one of the ecosystems worth following (and using).

On the other hand, there are enough of them out there in this position of being 'hot' or 'interesting', one needs to focus on a few at most, in my opinion.
