Magpie wanted to eat the seeds of spruce cones

I love magpies for their beauty and intelligence. The expressive contrast of the plumage is white and black and the impressive shape of the body with a long chic tail. All this favorably emphasizes the beauty of these birds. I don’t know how it is in other places, but in our city I see forty almost every day. But I fail to photograph forty so often. One has only to pay attention and the magpies immediately fly away. It is rare to photograph forty. If magpies are on the ground, then they are in perpetual motion. But sometimes I'm lucky and it turns out to photograph forty at least from afar.

This magpie was attracted by fir cones. We have a lot of growing coniferous trees. But for the first time I saw spruce cones attract the attention of a magpie.

Pay attention to the first photo. Soroko pressed a bump with her paw and looks to the side. With a glance, she makes it clear that this bump belongs to her alone.

Magpie stands in confusion. I would also like to know which seeds of which cones are tastier.

Nevertheless, the magpie decided to go down lower, where there are more cones on the ground. Where there is more choice.

Walking magpie - looks so important.

Feels that the person is close. She wants bumps, and at the same time does not want to be looked at. And even more against taking pictures. Like other birds, the magpie is strongly frightened by the sound of the camera with each shooting.

The magpie was confused: what kind of bump should she choose after all.

And again in motion.

Finally, the magpie chose a cone for itself.

Opposite, on a nearby tree, there was another magpie on the trunk. She watched the magpie that was pecking at the cones. Wanted to join the company. Then the rook arrived. The birds did not share the cones and all scattered.
