White Wagtail - cute bird

There is not so much white in the plumage of this bird. For simplicity, the differences with the black wagtail, apparently, called this bird white. The bird has a small body, but due to the tail, the length can reach up to 19 cm. Due to this and the characteristic movement of the tail, this bird can be seen from afar. If she is on the ground.

I rarely see the wagtail in the trees. Yes, and I have not yet been able to photograph the bird on the branches. She flies away immediately. But a running wagtail can be caught with a lens. Although it's not very close. But you can still watch her for a while.

When I approached the wagtail was close to the dandelions. So I wanted to photograph her next to the flowers. It would be a nice contrast. But unfortunately the bird accelerated and ran forward.

Sometimes the wagtail stopped. It looks like she was dreaming about something. But it lasted for seconds and then again the bird ran on, shaking its tail amusingly.

I have noticed that wagtails often sit on the parapet and look at the river. Here the bird looked back, hearing the sound of the camera.

Here, the bird looks thoughtfully into the sky, as if examining beautiful clouds. I met a dreamy wagtail.

Here is the exact moment when the wagtail looks carefully at the water. She does this often. If you watch the bird from afar, without approaching, you can see it as it looks at the river for a long time.

I noticed that we have individual wagtails living in the same places all season. Every day I see a wagtail running along this sidewalk, which is in the photo above. And then, unable to bear my attention, the bird flies closer to the river. Sits on the parapet. And then after a while it comes back. These are such funny wagtail birds.
