I love how the Finns take a perfectly legit word like sale, take off the S to make in ale then declare it has the same meaning.

They have a lot of loan words from other languages, as does English. Technically - I think this one might be a coincidence as "Alennus" means discount. Generally though, adding an "i" on the end is enough - like Bussi, Banaani...
I recall having a laugh as were walking around Helsinki with you back when. It's just another language, and I intend no disrespect...Hey, we're Aussies, it's not like we're perfect...Or are we? Lol.
All languages are a mess - best not to talk to anyone.
