It is said that Dhari Devi protects the Char Dham Yatra and Uttarakhand, She is protector of Alaknanda River, In 2013 when ministry of Uttarakhand made proposal to build a Water Dam upon the Alaknanda River, due to which the Dhari Devi temple was relocated into other place,Due to which dhari Devi became angry, that year there was a huge flood in Uttarakhand in which 5000 to 6000 people died,Which was a huge disaster, it is said that this happened due to the relocation of Dhari Devi temple. Since then the recognition of this temple has increased a lot and it is said that whoever is coming for Chaar Dham Yatra must visit Dhari Devi Temple.

Dhari Devi is a Hindu temple located in Kalyasaur in the middle of the Alaknanda River between Srinagar and Rudraprayag in the Garhwal district of Uttarakhand, India. The Dhari Devi Temple houses the upper half of the idol of Goddess Dhari, and the lower half of the idol is in Kalimath Temple,

I too had heard about this temple in the movie Kedarnath. But today I am seeing that temple with my own eyes which I had once dreamt of it.

This was the entrance which was colourful and looked very beautiful and Attractive. While entering the temple I had not thought that I would have to walk so much. I thought it was just an entrance and I would find Goddess Dhari Devi's idol in front of it.

You can see that this temple is so far away, this temple comes after walking but no vehicle allowed inside, you will have to go there on foot. But the surrounding scenery is beautiful. There were mountains all around and a river in front on top of which was the temple of Maa Dhari Devi.

I think there is rituals here is that all the newly married couples definitely come here to seek the blessings of Mata Rani for a Happy married life,I saw a many beautiful newly married couples here

There was a queue of devotees, it seemed that the turn would not come before 2-3 hours but looking around it felt good because there were rivers & Mountain nearby.

It is believed that those whose wishes are fulfilled, offer a bell to Goddess dhari devi, It is tied the Bell with the Red Cloth on one of the pillar of the temple. So I also asked for a wish of mine to goddess, and if it gets fulfilled then I will also come here again to thanks to Dhari devi and tie the bell here for sure.

India is a place where many such rituals are performed which create a strong faith and believe to our God.

We were very tired after standing in line for three to four hours. But to tell you the truth, as soon as I saw the statue of Mata Rani,The statue was very attractive, all the tiredness vanished. It was a black statue, only her face was there, she was wearing a Pahadi Naath(Big Nose Ring) and red lipstick, which her adorable and beautiful. Clicking photos of the statue was strictly prohibited, But i have clicked only one picture of statue of Goddess Dhari, ooh Goddess please forgive me for this silly mistake.
Thankyou ๐

Your experience touched my heart deeply. There's something incredibly powerful about the connection between nature, faith, and history in the story of Dhari Devi. Itโs beautiful that you made a wish and promised to return with a bell if itโs fulfilled. That kind of faith is so powerful.
I can relate to your story, yes sometimes temples and places of worship give us the peace we seek for and hoping our wishes and desires will be fulfill.
Fabulous spiritual moments, dear, @gargi ๐
It looks very sacred and you took a good photo to capture that.
