Getting to know the ladybugs in my garden

Two of them, on two different days. Two of them, with two different designs. I saw them and I wanted to take some pictures of them and at the same time I was thinking about why that name. I think we have all wondered about it at some time. I did some research to cover my curiosity and to add something to this post so you could learn along with me. I did not find relevant information, or at least that convinced me.
We should be content to know that, at least biologically they are not homosexuals, so the name is not a description of their love and sexual tastes or habits.
Going back to this pair I saw in my garden, I was surprised to see this one with white spots, I usually associate ladybugs with red with black spots, but this one was different, its spots were white.
To get a little scientific, I should tell you that the official name of these insects is coccinella septempunctata, which would come to mean, "seven-spotted ladybug " (hence the septem , prefix meaning "seven"); because of the seven spots that all types of ladybugs commonly have.
I must admit that I liked how these photos turned out as well as to know a different "model" of these cute insects, which this time motivated me to learn about the meaning of their name and find out what their real name is. Although because of how complicated I see their pronunciation, I'd better keep calling them ladybugs and if they (they) get offended, let them have a cup of coffee and relax.
Thanks for visiting and I hope you liked my pictures. And to @liketu, thanks for receiving my content in your dpaa.
Love.

Nice captures of the lady bugs mate, brought back memories of my primary school days when we would play with these little guys and learn about their role in the kitchen garden ecosystem against the aphids!
