Encuentro matutino con un gecko 🦎 / Morning encounter with a gecko 🦎

Hola hivers! Suelo tener muchos encuentros con animales, a veces sin buscarlos, a veces por pura casualidad y otras por mi propia curiosidad jajaja, tengo la suerte de que constantemente se crucen en mi camino insectos, aves, reptiles y algunos otros animales, a veces me pongo a pensar que con esa suerte que tengo en este asunto, si viviese en África o en lugares más cercanos a una selva o un bosque, mis encuentros serían aún más exóticos, serían con leones, elefantes, serpientes, lobos, zorros, aguilas, gacelas, monos y quién sabe cuántos más jajaja.

Hello hivers! I usually have many encounters with animals, sometimes without looking for them, sometimes by pure chance and other times out of my own curiosity hahaha, I am lucky that insects, birds, reptiles and some other animals constantly cross my path, sometimes I start to think that with the luck I have in this matter, if I lived in Africa or in places closer to a jungle or a forest, my encounters would be even more exotic, they would be with lions, elephants, snakes, wolves, foxes, eagles, gazelles, monkeys and who knows how many more hahaha.

Cuando a uno le apasiona fotografiar a la naturaleza, en especial a los animales, el ojo poco a poco se va entrenando y uno empieza a detectarlos con la habilidad que un gato detecta los movimientos de un ratón jejeje. Así detecté al amiguito que les voy a presentar hoy.

When you are passionate about photographing nature, especially animals, your eye gradually trains and you begin to detect them with the ability that a cat detects the movements of a mouse hehehe. This is how I detected the little friend that I'm going to introduce to you today.

Iba saliendo de mi edificio, mientras caminaba por el largo pasillo que conduce a la puerta de salida peatonal detecté un movimiento a mi derecha a través del rabo del ojo como decimos aquí jajaja, me detuve, y efectivamente había alguien allí, un pequeño gecko 🦎. Estos animalitos son comunes y andan en todas partes cazando mosquitos y otros insectos pero este estaba en el piso así que lo agarré con cuidado y lo llevé al estacionamiento para soltarlo en un lugar más seguro.

I was leaving my building, while I was walking down the long hallway that leads to the pedestrian exit door I detected a movement to my right through the corner of my eye as we say here hahaha, I stopped, and sure enough there was someone there, a small gecko 🦎. These little animals are common and go everywhere hunting for mosquitoes and other insects, but this one was on the ground so I grabbed it carefully and took it to the parking lot to release it in a safer place.

Los geckos siempre se portan muy bien conmigo y se dejan fotografiar tranquilamente en mis manos 😃😎 / The geckos always behave very well with me and allow themselves to be photographed calmly in my hands 😃😎

Los geckos son animales muy interesantes y poseen ciertas cualidades que los hacen únicos, pueden trepar con facilidad cualquier superficie vertical e incluso horizontal, quedando totalmente boca arriba, sin caerse, esto gracias a los millones de pelos milimetricos que están en las almohadillas de cada uno de los dedos de sus patas y que funcionan como adhesivos.

Geckos are very interesting animals and have certain qualities that make them unique. They can easily climb any vertical or even horizontal surface, remaining completely face up, without falling, thanks to the millions of millimetric hairs that are on each one's pads of the toes of their paws and that function as adhesives.

Cuando no quiso más fotos simplemente saltó hacia el monte y se fue jajaja / When he didn't want any more photos he just jumped into the bush and left hahaha

Los geckos tienen unos ojos muy llamativos, hermosos y superpoderosos, están compuestos de muchos conos que les otorgan un sistema de visión multifocal con el cual pueden ver en la oscuridad hasta 350 veces mejor que el ser humano. No tienen párpados pero sí una fina membrana transparente que limpian con su lengua.

Geckos have very striking, beautiful and super powerful eyes, they are composed of many cones that give them a multifocal vision system with which they can see in the dark up to 350 times better than humans. They don't have eyelids but they do have a thin transparent membrane that they clean with their tongue.

Cuando se sienten amenazados por algún depredador botan una parte de su cola, esta se sigue moviendo, el depredador se distrae con ella y el gecko aprovecha y huye. Al poco tiempo la cola le vuelve a crecer y aquí no ha pasado nada 🤭🤭😉 / When they feel threatened by a predator they throw away a part of their tail, it continues moving, the predator is distracted by it and the gecko takes advantage and escapes. After a short time the tail grows again and nothing has happened here 🤭🤭😉

Los geckos mantienen las casas libres de mosquitos, cucarachas y otros insectos. Son los únicos miembros de la familia de los lagartos que pueden vocalizar. Son nocturnos, arriba de mi apartamento está la terraza, allí hay varios, cuando empieza a oscurecer, comienzan a hacer su típico sonido, y siempre los escuchamos, de hecho, en estos momentos que estoy escribiendo esto hay uno hablando por ahí jajaja 🦎.

Geckos keep homes free of mosquitoes, cockroaches and other insects. They are the only members of the lizard family that can vocalize. They are nocturnal, above my apartment is the terrace, there are several there, when it starts to get dark, they start making their typical sound, and we always hear them, in fact, right now as I am writing this there is one talking over there hahaha 🦎.

Ojos color cobre / Copper eyes

Este amiguito que me encontré es pequeño, los que viven en la terraza esos sí que son grandes, son casi unos cocodrilos 🐊 🤭🤭🤭. Los geckos están entre mis animales favoritos y he hecho varias publicaciones sobre ellos aquí en Hive jejeje.

This little friend I met is small, the ones that live on the terrace are really big, they are almost crocodiles 🐊 🤭🤭🤭. Geckos are among my favorite animals and I have made several posts about them here in Hive hehehe.
