Mi, la gata escapista de mi edificio / Mi, the escapist cat of my building

Saludos hivers. En mi edificio hay tres apartamentos con gatos como mascotas. Una de estas inquilinas es la que les voy a presentar hoy. Su nombre es Mi y vive en el primer piso. Es una gata tuxedo, es decir, blanco con negro y hay una cosa que la ha hecho muy famosa en el edificio y es que es una escapista incorregible jajaja 🤦🏻‍♀️.

Hello hivers. In my building there are three apartments with cats as pets. One of these tenants is the one I'm going to introduce to you today. Her name is Mi and she lives on the first floor. She is a tuxedo cat, that is, black and white and there is one thing that has made her very famous in the building and that is that she is an incorrigible escape artist hahaha 🤦🏻‍♀️.

Desde el primer día que llegó con su familia humana al edificio, hace como cuatro o cinco años más o menos, ha dado muestras de ser una digna representante de las habilidades escapistas de Harry Houdini 🤣🤣🤣, del cual fácilmente pudo haber sido la mascota. Apenas se mudaron se le escapó a su familia, y no se sabe cómo, se metió en un apartamento cuyos dueños están fuera del país, y se quedó ahí hasta que le dió la gana de salir dos días después jajaja 🤦🏻‍♀️.

Since the first day she arrived with her human family at the building, about four or five years ago or so, she has shown signs of being a worthy representative of the escapist skills of Harry Houdini 🤣🤣🤣, of which she could easily have been the pet. As soon as they moved, she escaped from her family, and we don't know how, she got into an apartment whose owners are outside the country, and she stayed there until she felt like leaving two days later hahaha 🤦🏻‍♀️.

Un día que estaba en el estacionamiento miré hacia arriba y ahí estaba Mi en los ventanales de su casa, seguramente pensando en saltar para buscar aventuras jajaja, aproveché y le tomé varias fotos / One day when I was in the parking lot I looked up and there was Mi in the windows of her house, probably thinking about jumping out to look for adventures hahaha, I took advantage and took some photos

Al principio era muy habitual encontrarla en los pasillos del edificio y en el estacionamiento, sobretodo en las noches cuando andaban por ahí varios gatos sin dueño que venían con frecuencia al edificio. En la casa de Mi no podían dejar la puerta de adentro abierta porque ella aprovechaba el más mínimo descuido de sus dueños para escaparse y buscar aventuras jajaja 💃🏻🕺🏻🤷🏻‍♀️.

At first it was very common to find her in the hallways of the building and in the parking lot, especially at night when there were several ownerless cats that frequently came to the building. In Mi's house they couldn't leave the inside door open because she took advantage of the slightest carelessness of her owners to escape and look for adventures hahaha 💃🏻🕺🏻🤷🏻‍♀️.

Afortunadamente nunca sale del edificio para irse a la calle, aunque suele pasarse a la casa de tres pisos del vecino de al lado desde uno de los muros que está cerca 🤭🤭. Sus aventuras nocturnas le trajeron dos o tres camadas de gatitos 🙄🤦🏻‍♀️ ya que cuando estaba en celo sus habilidades escapistas se agudizaban jajaja, por lo que muchas veces sus dueños tenían que encerrarla en uno de los cuartos hasta que se le pasara el celo, pero casi siempre encontraba la manera de escabullirse para encontrarse con sus novios 💕😽.

Fortunately, she never leaves the building to go to the street, although she usually passes from one of the nearby walls to the next-door neighbor's three floors house 🤭🤭. Her nocturnal adventures brought her two or three litters of kittens 🙄🤦🏻‍♀️, since when she was in heat her escapist skills were sharpened hahaha, so many times her owners had to lock her in one of the rooms until she got over the heat. but she almost always found a way to sneak out to meet her boyfriends 💕😽.

Cada vez que la vecina me decía que Mi estaba embarazada yo le decía que tenía que esterilizarla hasta que por fin pudo hacerlo. En su última camada tuvo dos gatitos, uno lo dieron en adopción y al otro, como nadie lo quiso, se lo quedaron así que su hijo está con ella, hace poco adoptaron otro macho así que ahora Mi tiene bastante compañía.

Every time the neighbor told me that Mi was pregnant, I told her that she had to sterilize her until she was finally able to do it. In her last litter she had two kittens, one was adopted and the other, since no one wanted him, they kept him so she lives with her son, they recently adopted another male so now Mi has plenty of company.

Aunque Mi vive con dos gato más, parece que se aburre con facilidad jajaja ya que hace como dos meses desapareció, sus dueños la buscaron por todas partes, preguntaron en los edificios, casas y tiendas que están en nuestra calle, publicaron la foto de Mi en los estados de WhatsApp y nada, no aparecía por ningún lado, y lo que más les preocupaba era que Mi tenía una pata vendada porque hace poco se había caído o lanzado por la ventana 😬🤦🏻‍♀️. Cinco días después apareció como si nada en el apartamento, el dueño me contó que le estaba poniendo la comida a los otros dos gatos y ahí estaba ella parada frente a él 😲😼😎🤣🤣.

Although Mi lives with two other cats, it seems that she gets bored easily hahaha since about two months ago she disappeared, her owners looked for her everywhere, they asked in the buildings, houses and stores that are on our street, they published Mi's photo in the WhatsApp statuses and nothing, she didn't appear anywhere and what worried them most was that Mi had a bandaged paw because she had recently fallen or jumped from the window 😬🤦🏻‍♀️. Five days later she appeared as if nothing had happened in the apartment, the owner told me that he was putting food for the other two cats and there she was standing in front of him 😲😼😎🤣🤣.

Después de hacerse la dura empezó a dar vueltas para que jugara con ella / After playing hard to get, she started turning around inviting me to play with her

Aunque ya Mi está esterilizada y no hay problema de que si se escapa vuelva a traerles gatitos, parece que ahora tienen más cuidado de no estar dejando la puerta abierta porque ya no es tan común verla por los pasillos o en el estacionamiento, sin embargo a veces anda por ahí jajaja, estas fotos se las tomé un día que me la encontré en el pasillo del primer piso, no es muy confianzuda pero poco a poco dejó que la acariciara.

Although Mi is now sterilized and there is no problem that if she escapes she will bring them kittens again, it seems that now they are more careful not to leave the door open because it's no longer so common to see her in the hallways or in the parking lot, however sometimes she walks around hahaha, I took these photos one day when I found her in the hallway on the first floor, she's not very trusting but little by little she let me caress her.

Mi es todo un personaje, y aunque ya no lo haga con tanta frecuencia, seguirá escapándose sigilosamente y con la maestría del mismísimo Houdini, ya sea por la ventana, el balcón o la puerta jajaja, es un gato y ya saben, los gatos hacen lo que quieren 😼😎.

Mi is quite a character, and even though she doesn't do it as often anymore, she will continue to sneak away stealthily and with the mastery of Houdini himself, whether it's through the window, the balcony or the door hahaha, she's a cat and you know, cats do what they want 😼 😎.
