Cuando amas a los animales no dudas en ponerte el traje de superhéroe para rescatar o salvar del peligro a uno de ellos. A veces son acciones simples que cualquiera puede hacer y otras requieren de un poco más de osadía y valentía.

When you love animals, you don't hesitate to put on your superhero costume to rescue or save one of them from danger. Sometimes they are simple actions that anyone can do and others require a little more daring and courage.

Desde pequeña he salvado a muchos animales en diferentes situaciones que por sí mismos no lo hubiesen podido lograr y eso es algo que me ha dado mucha satisfacción espiritual por lo que no dudo ni un instante cuando mi deber como superhéroe animalista me llama jejeje 🦸🏻‍♀️.

Since I was a child I have saved many animals in different situations that by themselves couldn't have been achieved and that's something that has given me a lot of spiritual satisfaction, so I don't doubt for a moment when my duty as an animal superhero calls me hahaha 🦸🏻‍♀️.

En lo que va de año me ha tocado rescatar a dos gatitos pequeños y ambos fueron en el mes de febrero. Del primero no hice registro porque necesitaba tener ambas manos desocupadas para poder atraparlo porque es hijo de la gata del edificio y al igual que ella, no se deja agarrar pero todo salió bien y pude regresarlo con su mamá y su hermanito a la casa abandonada donde viven.

So far this year I have had to rescue two small kittens and both were in February. I didn't register the first one because I needed to have both hands free to catch it because it's one of the two kitten of the cat that lives in my building and, like her, it doesn't allow itself to be caught but everything went well and I was able to return it with its mother and little brother to the abandoned house where they live.

El otro gatito, el protagonista de esta publicación, es hijo de la gata de un vecino que vive en la casa de dos pisos de al lado y tiene cuatro hermanitos. Bueno, prepárense para este rescate que resultó toda una aventura jajaja.

Llevábamos dos días escuchando en las noches el maullido de un gatito pequeño, yo me había asomado a los terrenos adjuntos para tratar de escuchar de dónde exactamente venía y parecía venir del terreno que está detrás de la casa de nuestro vecino, pero como ese terreno está tan invadido por la vegetación, no lograba ver nada.

We had been listening to the meowing of a small kitten at night for two days, I had peeked into the adjoining land to try to hear where exactly it was coming from and it seemed to come from the land behind our neighbor's house, but since that land is so invaded by vegetation, I couldn't see anything.

La segunda tarde, mientras estaba en el balcón de mi mamá (que tiene vista hacia ese terreno) y gracias a que estamos en el cuarto piso, pude ver al gatito, un pequeñito de color naranja. Ya estaba atardeciendo así que la misión de rescate tendría que ser para el día siguiente.

The second afternoon, while I was on my mom's balcony (which has a view of that land) and thanks to the fact that we are on the fourth floor, I could see the kitten. It was already getting dark so the rescue mission would have to wait for the next day.

Bajé con mi hermana al estacionamiento, era domingo así que el edificio estaba tranquilo. El plan A era amarrar una escalera de dos metros y medio con una cuerda y lanzarla al terreno para luego bajar en rapel con otra cuerda amarrada a mi cintura hacia la escalera y de ahí saltar al terreno. Cuando la lancé, esa escalera, que es muy alta, se quedó corta frente a la altura entre donde estaba yo y el terreno jajaja.

I went down with my sister to the parking lot, it was Sunday so the building was quiet. Plan A was to tie a two and a half meters ladder to a rope and throw it onto the ground, then rappel down with another rope tied around my waist to the ladder and jump onto the ground from there. When I threw it, that ladder, which is very high, fell short compared to the height between where I was and where is the ground hahaha.

Había dos posibles lugares donde apoyar la escalera, el primero era un pequeño muro que sobresale de la pared y el segundo, un montón de enredaderas secas que estaban en el terreno que las dejaron ahí cuando las podaron. Esa escalera es bastante pesada y no era fácil sostenerla colgando de una cuerda y de paso tratar de estabilizarla.

There were two possible places to support the ladder, the first was a small wall that protrudes from the wall and the second, a bunch of dry vines that were on the ground that were left there when they were pruned. That ladder is quite heavy and it was not easy to hold it hanging from a rope and try to stabilize it.

Cuando apoyé la escalera en el muro, se resbalaba así que tanto la escalera como yo nos hubiésemos ido para abajo juntas con cuerda y todo jajaja (bueno, al menos hubiésemos bajado jejeje), cuando traté de apoyarla sobre el colchón de la enredadera seca, la escalera bailaba de un lado a otro porque el terreno era inestable y no había nada donde amarrar la cuerda para que la escalera no se moviera tanto, así que la escalera como vía para bajar quedó descartada jajaja.

When I rested the ladder on the wall, it was slipping so that both the ladder and I would have gone down together with rope and everything hahaha (well, at least we would have gone down hehehe), when I tried to support it on the mattress of the dry vine, the ladder danced from one side to the other because the ground was unstable and there was nothing to tie the rope to so that the ladder wouldn't move so much, so the ladder as a way to go down was ruled out hahaha.

El plan B era bajar en rapel yo sola, sin escalera, amarrando la cuerda a mi cintura y a unas vigas que sobresalen del muro. Desde el estacionamiento hasta ese terreno son unos cuatro o cinco metros aproximadamente de altura porque el estacionamiento de mi edificio es aéreo, o sea, no está al nivel de la calle sino que los autos suben una rampa cuando van a entrar.

Plan B was to rappel down by myself, without a ladder, tying the rope to my waist and to some beams that protrude from the wall. From the parking lot to that lot there are approximately four or five meters high because the parking lot of my building is aerial, that is, it is not at street level but the cars go up a ramp when they are going to enter.

Amarré la cuerda a mi cintura y pasé la cuerda por unas vigas que hay en el muro, me monté en el muro y empecé a pensar en cómo bajar, mi único temor eran las vigas, sé que las vigas son resistentes pero esas vigas han estado expuestas al sol y a la lluvia desde que el edificio fue construido (quién sabe hace cuántos años fue eso jajaja).

I tied the rope around my waist and passed the rope through some beams that are in the wall, I got on the wall and began to think about how to get down, my only fear was the beams, I know that the beams are resistant but those beams have been exposed to sun and rain since the building was built (who knows how many years ago that was hahaha).

Soy una persona difícil de convencer y siempre la última palabra que tomo en cuenta es la mía así que decidí usar el plan C jajaja 🤷🏻‍♀️.

El plan C era ir a la pensión que está del otro lado del terreno y pedirle permiso al señor que trabaja ahí para que me dejara montarme en su techo y desde ahí lanzar la escalera hacia el terreno, la altura es menor porque la pensión sí está al nivel de la calle.

Plan C was to go to the pension that is on the other side of the land and ask the man who works there for permission to let me get on his roof and from there throw the ladder onto the land, the height is less because the pension is at street level.

Pasamos al último patio y puse la escalera para subir al techo, luego jale la escalera hacia el techo y caminé hacia el muro que separa la pensión y el terreno. Hay que caminar con cuidado porque algunas de las láminas de zinc del techo están un poco viejas.

Cuando me senté en la orilla del muro, efectivamente, la altura era mucho menor que del lado de mi edificio, bajé la escalera con cuidado y la apoyé en el colchón de enredaderas secas que estaba ahí, no era muy firme pero al menos la escalera quedaba a una altura que me permitía bajar sosteniéndome del muro y saltando a la escalera sin tener que usar una cuerda.

When I sat on the edge of the wall, indeed, the height was much less than the side of my building, I carefully went down the ladder and rested it on the mattress of dry vines that was there, it wasn't very firm but at least the ladder was at a height that allowed me to climb down by holding on to the wall and jumping onto the ladder without having to use a rope.

Mientras estaba en eso vi que el gatito me miraba y maullaba pero cuando llegue cerca del terreno y salté hacía las enredaderas el gatito salió corriendo y se escondió jajaja. Es un terreno relativamente pequeño y tiene muros altos por los cuatro lados porque está rodeado de otras edificaciones, de hecho, este terreno es el patio del centro comercial que está al lado de mi edificio. También hay un árbol de mango que da unos mangos verdes muy ricos pero desde que el dueño se fue, la enredadera lo tiene invadido y no puede florear para cargar mangos 😕.

While I was doing that I saw the kitten look at me and meow but when I got close to the ground and jumped into the vines the kitten ran and hid hahaha. It's a relatively small piece of land and it has high walls on all four sides because it's surrounded by other buildings. In fact, this piece of land is the courtyard of the shopping mall that is next to my building. There is also a mango tree that gives very delicious mangoes but since the owner left, the vine has invaded it and it can't flower to load mangoes 😕.

Hace años lo tenían bonito porque allí tenían dos perros, una enorme jaula con loros y guacamayas y hasta un espacio con barra para comer, hacer parrilla y cocinar. Todas esas cosas están aún allí, a excepción de los animales, pero como hace años que el dueño se fue, la vegetación se apoderó de todo y muy de vez en cuando el hermano del dueño manda a alguien a podar la enredadera.

Years ago tis place was nice because there they had two dogs, a huge cage with parrots and macaws and even a space with a bar to eat, grill and cook. All those things are still there, except for the animals, but since the owner left years ago, the vegetation took over everything and very occasionally the owner's brother sends someone to prune the vine.

Como les comenté, apenas el gatito me vio bajando se escondió entre unas tablas que estaban al lado de la barra, el lugar tiene muchísimas cosas por todos lados, aparte de la vegetación, así que había que pisar con cuidado para no tropezar, yo cargaba mis botas de excursión, ideales para este tipo de aventuras jajaja.

As I told you, as soon as the kitten saw me going down, it hid between some tables that were next to the bar, the place has a lot of things everywhere, apart from the vegetation, so you had to step carefully to avoid tripping, I was carrying my hiking boots, ideal for this type of adventure hahaha.

Cuando finalmente lo vi tuve que agacharme y jalarlo con cuidado porque se había atascado entre unas tablas.

Although it was ten in the morning, I had to turn on my phone's flashlight to be able to look for the kitten among all those things because it was quite dark where it had gone because of the vegetation, it looked like a cave hahaha. When I finally saw it I had to bend down and carefully pull it out because it had gotten stuck between some boards.

He stayed calm, I took him out and then I put him in a bag that I had taken for the same purpose. I climbed the ladder, then pulled it up to the roof and down into the courtyard of the boarding house so we could go down and leave.

Por supuesto no iba a perder la oportunidad de hacerle muchas fotos a este bello y pequeño caballero naranja de ojitos turquesa.

I called the neighbor and he was happy because he didn't know what had happened with the kitty and the cat mom was meowing and searching for her baby, he told me he wasn't home, he was coming in three hours so I took the kitty to my house hahaha. Of course I wasn't going to miss the opportunity to take many photos of this beautiful little orange gentleman with turquoise eyes.

Por supuesto que lo primero era hidratarlo, le preparamos leche y se la di con una inyectadora, tenía dos días sin comer así que estaba muy hambriento, se la tomó casi toda pero cuando le pusimos comida de gato se volvió loco jajaja, entró al plato con las patas y todo.

Me dijo que si quería me lo podía quedar 🥺.

Our two cats were in an uproar with the new visitor and hid hahaha. When the neighbor from the house next door called me to tell me that he had already returned, it made me a little sad because I was already getting attached to the kitten hehehe. He told me that if I wanted I could keep him 🥺.

De verdad me hubiese gustado quedarme con este gatito, los gatos anaranjados son muy sociables y cariñosos y me encantan pero por los momentos y por diferentes razones no puedo tener otro gato pero igual sigo y seguiré ayudando a los que pueda y como pueda. Me quedó la satisfacción de verlo después por el balcón jugando con sus hermanitos y su mamá y de seguro contándoles la aventura que vivió jejeje.

I really would have liked to keep this kitten, orange cats are very sociable and affectionate and I love them but at the moment and for different reasons I can't have another cat but I still continue and will continue to help those I can and however I can. I had the satisfaction of seeing him later on the balcony playing with his little brothers and his mother and surely telling them about the adventure he had, hehehe.
