Google Russia, Declaring Bankruptcy Over Government Holding its Bank Account

When the Russia and Ukraine war started, the world was unhappy, and it led to many summits and many world meetings, including meetings that were for sanction purposes. Now I am not here to talk about the war, because while so many innocent lives are lost on a daily, some people still stand to benefit from this war.

The war between Ukraine and Russia started hitting the world had in the aspect of food. We all know that Ukraine is one of the largest producer of wheat, which is needed for flour as well as other grainy foods. Since the war began, Agriculture and exportation has been impossible in Ukraine. Energy has become another problem that we have to battle. Europe can tell that the War as well as sanctions placed on Russia has affected energy.

While the war was going on, in other to send a message to Russia, as well as cut off its billionaires from sponsoring the war, Countries started to place Ban on Russian Oligarch businesses abroad. Business owners such as Roman Abramovich being asked to sell Chelsea football club and withholding the club's finance until the Russian owner sell it off. The sale of the football club looks like he just had to hand over the company to someone else, as Abramovich says he won't be gaining from the sale. Also, several Russian Billionaires with Ships, and Yatchs have started moving their ship to Turkey against western sanctions.

While all these happened, I was certain Russia would be retaliating and now Google just came out to say they will be declaring bankruptcy in Russia, following the government seizing their funds in their account. In the light of this event, the company has been unable to pay workers for their job. While the company will be declaring bankruptcy, the company says that its free services such as Google Search, Gmail, and YouTube will still be functional in the country.

Russia says that Google has decided to publish content from Moscow, which are illegal. For me, I see it as a retaliation for the sanctions placed on Russians abroad.
